It’s amazing how everyone thinks the same way.
They think about an idea for 5 minutes, decide it’s amazing, and buy the domain.
Then 5 minutes later, they see the actual flows and realize the idea isn’t that amazing anymore.
But now they have a domain. 🦍
In the past I collected many domains that way.
I still don’t understand why 360 movies and video content are not a thing in 2026.
For almost 100 years, we watched everything from a single perspective. Finally, we have the technology to watch the full 360, but there’s still not much content around it.
This tech is mostly ignored, but I think it has huge potential.
If you’re beating yourself up over a bad move, remember @HermanNarula is so retarded launching a new SaaS in a year anyone can ship an app/clone before lunch.
Almost all mega-buildings and landmark projects around the world were built 10 or more years ago. We don't see as many huge projects anymore. Some major projects that started recently have been canceled or postponed. I think this shows a worldwide economic decline, and it's getting worse.
Almost all the money now seems to be flowing into AI and AI-related infrastructure. This money is moving inside a glass bubble, we can all see it, but it doesn't seem to touch people's everyday lives or create enough real jobs.
Almost everyone agrees that the AI boom will eventually burst. So what comes next?
About a year ago, most AI models didn’t understand exactly what you wanted, but they tried too hard to accomplish what you wanted. At least they tried to follow your direction. Now AI models understand exactly what you want but do it their own way. Newly trained AI models have an ego issue.
I predict China will take over the AI industry in the next 2 years.
The current AI industry is solely created by the US and its companies.
But China is playing very strategically.
They’re providing cheaper, open-source models. The open-source part is very important.
If they provided API-only access, such as Anthropic and OpenAI, the US would have a reason to ban their use by its companies and other Western companies. But since they provide open-weight models, many companies are slowly sliding to their models without worrying about future political/legal issues.
Airbnb’s use of Alibaba’s Qwen, even though their CEO has good connections with Sam.
Many other companies are switching to Chinese models. Over time, they will become dependent on them. Even though most models use the same or similar APIs, their output is very different. Switching to another one after some time may require a lot of fine-tuning across many systems.
Privacy is another factor. Chinese open-source models are way more private than US models if you host them on your own hardware properly.
US companies can increase prices or remove access to the models completely anytime they want. ,,Fable,, No such problem with open source.
Probably after their trillion-dollar IPOs, Anthropic and OpenAI will slow down to save costs.
China is heavily developing its own AI infrastructure and chips, which will reduce its costs significantly. On the other side, Anthropic and OpenAI will start to reduce their subsidization as their financial engineering creates a debt spiral.
It doesn't matter how hard the US tries to gatekeep AI. Since China is democratizing access to AI, they will win.
