I walk up and down this street daily, it's one of my favourite places in the city, but man I wish I never saw how much cooler it used to be 😭

Something my team built, super proud of everyone! Lots of hacking to get everything to feel super smooth
We built a vending machine that knows who you are. For @Pokemon's 30th anniversary, Hobbiesville put it to work. Customers signed in with Shop, scanned their code, and their purchase history unlocked their pack. The deeper their collector history, the better the pack. Customer loyalty, brought to life. For the True Collectors. Powered by @Shopify.

Ironically this project really made me appreciate @Shopify (this was before I started working there), so many little things that you need to think of and maintain to just sell a single product

Something my team has had in the works for almost a year, so awesome to finally see this come to life
This. Just. Happened. Twitch's biggest streamer, @KaiCenat, opened a subscriber-only drop from @TONEexclusive, the brand he cofounded, in real time to 430,000+ fans. All they had to do was scan the QR code or hit the link. It's that easy. Sold out in under 5 min. Powered by @Shopify.

Archive EP2: Sooth This was a Chrome extension that blurred out NSFW content on the web. We built this for an @MLHacks hackathon when I was in school and won an award from @ladygaga’s organization

Ended up getting some attention, did interviews with @CBC and @VICE. A certain Canadian publication that won’t be named wrote a hit piece on it basically calling us snowflakes 😂

The extension used a MutationObserver to look for changes on the page and then checked it against a dictionary of bad words (and user-supplied ones) It used very, very rudimentary sentiment analysis too

Vice made a fake account for the fake Diplo, we built this game where you had to guess if a tweet was from the fake or real Diplo
