If your startup’s biggest flex is who invested in you so much so that your investors are the hero section of your website you are not gonna make it.
The moment your company starts doing this, you know you are about to be laid off so start looking for a new job
Another one bites the dust in our War on Expensive Software. 😵
Zapier.
An old friend. We’ve used it for 10 years.
We paid for 123 automations. 63 hadn’t run in a month. 2 did 88% of the work.
The rest was form-to-Slack and HubSpot-to-Sheets plumbing.
Claude rebuilt 1 of them. Everything else moved into tools we already pay for.
Zapier: $4,788 a year → $0.
Steal the audit. Export your Zapier task history and give Claude or ChatGPT this:
“List every automation, its owner, and runs in the last 30 days. Flag anything that hasn’t run. Show which few do most of the work. For each one, name a tool we already pay for that could replace it. Give me a cancel plan with dates.”
Bye bye, old friend. 👋
.@stripe just came out with the most non-functional UI ever for a payments processing mobile dashboard
Had the most horrible experience at @ParqCasino
A guy stole my chips twice at Parq Casino. When I reported it, their response was: “we are not responsible for your chips.”
The first time, the dealer blamed me. Parq checked the cameras and confirmed the chip was mine.
Then the same guy took my chips again. I confronted him and got them.
The pit manager basically told us that our chips were not their responsibility.
Wtf 🤬
It's insane to me how most inference providers get away by providing a nerfed version of open weight models an celebrate themselves by showing higher TPS.
Yeah no shit, if you have a model thats 20% less effective I better hope you have high TPS
Not only that, they often break the model in non obvious ways trying to do custom quants.
Everyone is using Mimo v2.6 Pro in Opencode Go so now the speed is shit. It was freaking great yesterday.
Just tried the new Mimo V2.6-Pro and its really good. My only complain is its a bit too chatty and takes a good while to take actions.
Bro if something escapes from the Anthropic bio lab and they start this whole AI will kill everyone thing again, I will loose my shit
Spoken like a classic technical person.

OpenAI's Noam Brown says air-gapping the computers may not stop a misaligned AI, because two air-gapped machines can still talk by running a CPU hot and reading the temperature change
"But I think the major takeaway from the incident is that people underestimated the AI. And we never want to be in a situation again where we underestimate the AI. It's a weird world, because AI progress is so fast that people are consistently underestimating the AI."
"So to be in a situation where you don't underestimate it again, when it comes to safety and alignment, you have to have a very, very, very high bar."
"You could even go as far as to say, "Well, we should air gap the computers." And I'm not convinced that that would be sufficient."
"There are studies, and this is mostly academic, where you can have two computers next to each other that are air-gapped and they're still able to communicate with each other because they have temperature sensors."
"One of them is able to run their CPU really hot, and then the other one can actually detect the temperature change, and then that actually gives them a mechanism to communicate."

Got access to @typesafeai and I am having a hard time thinking about uses cases other than classifiers where I can just use it without LLM.
Even with tool calling you have to use an LLM for the arguments.
I am seriously torn between whether to invest in Local AI or not.
Lots of reason to based on the current situation.
Only reason not to is I don’t wanna get locked down to some less efficient hardware if new better models come out before they pass some legislation.
They are saying out the quite part aloud. Insane.
Replying to @sean_from_earth
i won't lie to you, i think open source will be banned before too long after some major disaster. and when the day comes, you'll agree with me. i hope kimi and deepseek etc keep making models but keep them monitored on an api where they should be

Day 1: Anthropic employee quits to work at METR.
Day 2: Anthropic nominates METR as "third-party evaluator".
Everyone knows what Anthropic is trying to do or at least the industry experts do. Yet, it’s working and there is nothing we can do to stop them from creating hysteria and grabbing control.
