Our second invited speaker at #PLASMONICA2026 is Jacinto Sá from Uppsala University. He showed how plasmon-enabled photosystems overcome key limitations of conventional photocatalysts through efficient light harvesting, tunable charge-carrier generation, and catalyst recovery.

#PLASMONICA2026 was kickstarted by the first invited speaker, Paola Borri from Cardiff University. She explained how single gold nanoparticles can be tracked by coherent nonlinear optical techniques, and thus serve as microscopy tags for imaging complex biological systems 🦠
