"Opposing the AfD ... requires refusing its monopoly over the questions and frameworks through which social and political problems are understood." My understanding. Is the AfD's Normalisation of Racist Policies Changing the Questions Germany Asks? m.thewire.in/article/world/i…

BJPisation of Germany has today acquired its first evident form, through democracy. The only difference it seems is that people knew what they were supporting when they supported BJP. Germans still seem to be a little lost, a bit in denial. They hope for moderation. #afd

बहुत अहम बात। Teliprompter से ज्यादा असल कार्य की ज़रूरत है।
Screens से ज्यादा... Sports centres की अहमियत है। Play station से ज्यादा... Playgrounds की अहमियत है: PM @narendramodi

Why do those who chracterise women as betis, not use the phrase 'Indian betas' for men. Recently, we saw some great display of patriotism in Kanwar Yatra by Indian betas.
Congress says, “Smash patriarchy.” Why always target only Hindus? What about minority women? What about Triple Talaq? Are Muslim girls not our sisters & betis? If you truly stand with women, stand with every woman, every community, every time. Our Indian betis are leading in ISRO, flying fighter jets & winning medals at the Olympics. Nari Shakti is visible in Lakhpati Didis & Drone Didis. Do not undermine Indian betis to divide Indian society.

All the following can be weaved in one argument without either-or binary. 1. The culture of abuse has intensified under the current regime. Both in real and virtual spaces. 2. A new, demeaning political language of criticism is getting mainstreamed. Media also responsible.

3. Both politics and society are undergoing language transformation. The boundary of 'bhasha-maryada' is being redrawn. 4. Profanity can be the tool of resistance. 5. Sandeep Dikshit's remark was distasteful. Rahul Gandhi should have criticised it on-stage.

One of my favourite history videos. Sumit Sarkar, through his writings, was a teacher to many of us who didn't formally attend his class. youtube.com/watch?v=besPA8KB…

For helping others to go through his 'archive' of silence and complicity.
Ok, I want to know why AB is so conscientious in numbering his posts, not being sarcy, just curious.

The use of state power and vigilante groups in punishing those who were protesting does prove that neem ka patta kadwa hota hai. #CJI

Hmm, one line on your own films would have made this post really genuine.
A few communication lessons for the Government, BJP and everyone in public life: 1. India’s biggest communication problem is TV news and MSM. At least, that’s how a large section of people now sees it. They believe it has destroyed trust and poisoned public conversation. You may not realise it now, but India’s biggest enemy is Indian TV news. It has now become your enemy too. The more you use it, the more damage it is likely to cause. After graduating from the @IIMC_India , my first job was at @IndiaToday because, like every journalism student then, I wanted to become like the great journalists I saw there. Today, if a child wants to become a journalist, can any parent or teacher name three TV journalists as role models? Why not? An aspiring cricketer has Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli or Yashasvi Jaiswal. Who does an aspiring TV journalist have? In fact, many young people are told, “become anything, but don’t become a TV journalist”. 2. If you don’t want another protest that you neither understand nor know how to handle, rethink TV news. Right now, it’s working against you, not for you. Why should hardworking salaried reporters get all the hate for decisions taken by editors and owners? Next time there’s a protest, ask the owners to stand in front. That alone could transform the TV news business model. Seriously, why are the owners in hiding? Shouldn’t they also be accountable for damaging India’s socio-political fabric? 3. Don’t make the mistake of believing this happened because of Instagram. And don’t make the bigger mistake of thinking Instagram can be fixed to defeat the Gen Z narrative. It will backfire. No matter what you do, you can’t manufacture authenticity. 4. Everyone even remotely in power should switch to silent mode for a while. Ask the shouting spokespersons and television regulars to disappear for a while. On the environment, send environmental experts. On the economy, send economists. On education, send educationists. On healthcare, send doctors and public health experts. Stop relying on political performers who turn every debate, whether it’s about pollution, jobs, education or healthcare, into communal or factional politics. Replace them with genuine subject experts. 5. We don’t want India to become Western. But we must make India modern. Stop celebrating regressive ideas. Talk more about science, philosophy, art, poetry, creativity, innovation and the dignity of every citizen. 6. Fix our crumbling cities. Clean our air. 7. Listen more. Let your work speak. I hope this moment becomes an opportunity to rethink how we communicate with a new generation. Looking forward to a developed, happy and innovative India.

No Indian prime minister has been so badly abused as Modi. Without fear, without hesitation. He has clearly lost the battle on social media. One thing Modi can still do to salvage his image. He can finally do a press conference.

Waiting for the next tweet: Rahul Gandhi will be nominated the next prime minister by the BJP.
Also very interesting: the same Delhi Police that was not allowing CJP to move even 100 metres towards Parliament, allowed Rahul Gandhi to reach right outside PM Residence! Do we need any more evidence that Congress-BJP is one unit? #BJPCongressEkHain
