A first look at the game mechanics shared by the @djsamwithers during the recent AMA. Been looking into this @Pocket_Dragons_ and there are a few interesting mechanics worth watching. The game features 353 unique dragons across different species, colors, and origins. Collecting and discovering dragons also helps you earn badges and build your Honor Score. The interesting part is the burn mechanic. You can combine dragons to upgrade their tiers, but every recipe leaves only one survivor. The rest get burned, with different odds of reaching the next tier or even skipping a tier. There’s also an Honor system tied to your collection, badges and dragon reserves. A mix of collecting, progression and risk-based crafting. Still exploring how these mechanics will play out in practice.

A quick look at what @overload_xyz is building. Overload is building something interesting at the intersection of AI infrastructure and gaming. The idea goes beyond another DeFi farming loop. → Onchain exposure to companies powering AI → A game built around power and compute → 70% of mint funds go to your machine as stock during early epochs → 30% goes to $LOAD buybacks and burns → 0% goes to the protocol The thesis is simple. AI infrastructure is attracting massive capital. But most people have limited ways to engage with this sector onchain. Overload is trying to make that experience more accessible through a game. The key question is whether the gameplay can create sustained demand beyond the initial hype. Still early. But the combination of real-world assets and game mechanics is worth watching.
