Six weeks later he texted her that he was engaged to a British actress in her early twenties. Years later she read a profile where Elon told a friend he’d risk his entire fortune for a rocket, even if he, Justine and the kids ended up in her parents’ basement. He never said it to her. On a TEDx stage she joked that she wanted to go back in time and ask him: have you seen my parents’ basement? Now she appears in Alex Gibney’s new 4-hour documentary Musk. She says she learned the term gaslighting through her relationship with Elon. At the end of that TEDx talk she said visionaries might make lousy husbands, but they bring light to the dark.
