St. Patrick’s Day around the world is a day rooted in community, humanity, friendship and fellowship.
Conor McGregor’s remarks are wrong, and do not reflect the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day, or the views of the people of Ireland.

Images circulating of Defence Forces vehicles in Dublin City Centre are not from this evening, but from a separate routine operation and have no connection to this evening's events.
We ask everyone to be sensitive to the spreading disinformation, and to take care.

Pure thuggery on the streets of Dublin today. It’s not a “protest”. It’s an attack on our national effort. The abuse directed at the Gardai is sickening & shameful. Disgraceful. Thoughts with the Gardai and their families

All good teams keep going until the very end. They know the risks of easing off when the end is in sight. We’ve done so well this far- but it’s not full time yet! Come on Team Ireland- let’s keep the effort up until the final whistle blows. @roinnslainte #COVID19 @hselive – at South Dublin, Ireland

Organisers of a Covid-19 fundraiser for Native Americans have thanked Irish donors for over $100,000 in donations. Support for the campaign is being seen as a chance to repay the generosity shown by the Choctaw Nation tribe during the Famine. | bit.ly/3ftZk23

In moments of crisis, we look out for one other. And we need leaders with empathy who will bring people together rather than drive them apart. @JoeBiden has the character and experience to guide us through one of our darkest times and heal us through a long recovery.

When I announced my campaign one year ago today, I said we were in a battle for the soul of the nation.
One year later, that is as true as it has ever been. I believe we can and we will emerge from this crisis a stronger, better, and fairer nation. Together, as one America.

Please don’t do this. We are asking you to #Stayathome to keep safe & to keep older & vulnerable people safe. Your actions impact on them. Your actions put them at risk. Let’s work together & keep at it to save lives. Anyone who thinks we are in a safe place is simply wrong
An observation:
Seeing a large volume of people out in my local area, including people sitting for coffee & chats outside the local shop, which is wedged.
While we know the vast majority of people are compliant with #StayHome there is a frightening air of complacency today.
