Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman said surgery is "not on the table" for Shohei Ohtani this offseason. As for his two-way play continuing? “I fully expect him to pitch next year. ... I not only expect him to pitch, we're excited about him pitching."

Miguel Rojas is officially retiring from Major League Baseball. He began his career with the Dodgers in 2014. He ended it back in LA for four years where he won two World Series rings — and had one of the biggest home runs in franchise history. Congrats on an incredible career.

The Dodgers have some huge questions this offseason, including: - How do they get younger? Trade Teoscar Hernandez? Trade Tommy Edman? - Will Shohei Ohtani pitch again? - What to do with injury-prone starting rotation? - Will Tarik Skubal be back? si.com/mlb/dodgers/onsi/dodg…

The Brewers (18th-highest payroll in MLB) are going to the World Series. They’ll face either the Rays (25th) or Guardians (30th). Bad day for people who say MLB needs a salary cap. The league is clearly just fine without one.

The Dodgers' 2026 season — and quest to make history — is officially over. The reigning two-time World Series champions were swept by the Brewers in the NLCS. They now face a long offseason (that will include a lockout) with many, many questions. si.com/mlb/dodgers/onsi/dodg…

Dave Roberts on the talk regarding Shohei Ohtani's struggles: "That's what I think all great players have in the biggest moments. They expect to perform more than anyone. I do think that Shohei has taken this as a personal challenge." Consider that challenge passed.

This is as animated as Shohei Ohtani has ever been as a Dodger. It's his first home run since Aug. 18. It's the Dodgers' first home run of the NLCS. The Dodgers are alive thanks to their best player.

Shohei Ohtani hadn't hit a home run since Aug. 18. He was in his worst slump as a Dodger. There were talks about benching him. He responded with the biggest home run of the Dodgers season.

Dave Roberts seemed to think the Brewers would use left-hander Shane Drohan at least one time through the order. He was wrong. Drohan is out after 5 batters with 4 righties due up for LA. Max Muncy is now hitting for Miguel Rojas (meaning LA is already down 1 position player).

Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Abner Uribe was going to be pulled after the Will Smith at-bat no matter what. "Once Smith hit the ball, that's the last hitter." The Dodgers pinch-hitting Josue De Paula had no impact on that decision. Thus, the Dodgers wasted JDP for nothing.
