Art was never designed to survive in that system. It doesn’t run on ROI, it runs on revelation. An artist feels first, not strategizes. But when you start treating every interaction like a play, the raw curiosity that makes art possible begins to rot.
Now when you walk into a room full of creatives there’s this quiet tension.
People aren’t scanning for inspiration, they’re scanning for opportunity.
Not who makes them feel something, but who can get them somewhere.
We start measuring people the way algorithms measure us.
Lately it feels like most art scenes aren't real anymore.
Not because people don't care, but because
everyone's pretending just long enough to benefit. The world taught artists to network instead of connect, to leverage people instead of love them.
The Bible says, “as much as it is possible, live in peace with everyone.” Tbh sometimes it’s just not possible
