Slight correction, Deepseek Pro isn't being deprecated but apparently Flash 4.1 if so far ahead of Pro 4 that they're taking it off the table until they can release Pro 4.1.
Deepseek Flash V4.1 is dropping tomorrow & it's apparently so good that the Pro model is being deprecated. Pricing also coming down a bit. Built an entire app on DS Flash V4 and while it's no Opus 5 or Fable, it's good enough for 95%+ of coding tasks & at a fraction of the cost
Deepseek announcing big price hikes just after everyone noticed how great & cheap it was. I've built 3 quarters of a sizeable app with Flash V4 through Opencode over the last 6 weeks and it's cost me less than $50. Great while it lasted. Best get the last 1/4 done quick 😬

Man, my wife works for a big US corp and got handed an AI strategy document for managers and it read almost exactly like this.

💯 I have an old app that I wanted to shut down for years cos it was more hassle than it was worth but it had some sales so kept it going. A year later it got some traction & I still have those customers to this day. No new sales but that thing still pays my mortgage to this day.

Don't forget Nordcraft in the no-code app builder list.

Not so sure. After a few weeks in Australia some years ago, I was visiting my brother in Kent and I thought "there are a lot of Aussies living around here" til my brother explained that they were actually locals and that their accent is very similar to Aussie. So Aussie= Kentish.
Introducing WeWeb Unify: a brand new, full-stack version of WeWeb ✨

If your SaaS hasn't written itself in 2 hours you're a failure. Apparently.

That's a bunch of crap. Have you seen how capable no-code/visual dev platforms have become?! Tools like Nordcraft and WeWeb are incredibly powerful, easily comparable to code. And 1,000s of actual products that have real customers have been built on these (including my own).

Agree. And 80% of the time, flying with auto-pilot works just fine. It's that other 20% of the time I'd be worried about. I wouldn't wanna be on that plane when it goes wrong & the vibe-pilot doesn't have a clue what he's doing 😬
My wife recently started making bread. After a number of goes she nailed it, as good as the local bakery and much better than shop bought. Then I realised, if anyone can do this then bakeries are finished, no one will ever buy bread again cos they'll just make their own. Right?

A week? Maybe you should read the book "Inside Intuit" about the struggles they had in their early days, now with $18.8B a year in sales.
Maybe give it at least as long as it took you to develop it in the first place.

With the AI boom, why aren't you making fat stacks right now? You should be loaded or you're just lazy and bad with money.
Oh yeah ... you don't have a crystal ball either. Hindsight, which you now have the benefit of from those events, is always right & always worth nothing.
Well, I'm doing a deep dive on it. I'm still on the fence as to whether it's No Code + AI or just AI, but certainly my eyes were opened. Still love No Code/Visual Dev though, so many great tools, it would be shame to lose them to the AI juggernaut, hopefully there's still a place for them in the mix.
My issue with AI is cost, but with token costs coming down and models like MiniMax M2.5 making it v cheap (around 5% the cost of Claude Opus 4.6) then it may soon be a non-issue.
