Miami isn’t the same team without Malachi just like we weren’t the same team without Jordan Travis. They shouldn’t make the playoffs. That’s how that work?

Jimbo Fisher says he never wanted to leave Florida State, and says leaving Tallahassee was the most difficult thing he’s ever done
“Most difficult thing I’ve ever done. I never wanted to go. We had great success. The last couple years we didn’t, but that run we had there, I did not ever want to leave. I don’t want to get into this the wrong way. I just knew, kind of, the situation the ACC is in now. I saw those things and tried to get us ahead of that a little bit.”
“We never wanted anything for ourselves. I wanted more stuff for our staff and players, and some more facilities, because I knew where the game was going and where we were putting our money. It just never worked out. I’m not going to throw anybody under the bus. Sometimes you have to do it.”
“But listen, I grew up a Florida State fan. I love Florida State. I grew up loving Florida State. The Bowdens were like family to me, and I was like family to them. It was one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done. And the players, I loved the players. We had so much success.”
“We left a great team. Cam Akers, Brian Burns, all those great players. We had great players still. I remember I cried. You remember me? I cried. It killed me. But life takes turns sometimes.”

The Mike Norvell era is over at Florida State, which has a projected roster budget of $23M-$30M, ranking 28th nationally.
One agent tells FOS that FSU already has the infrastructure to compete if its new coach can align with the front office.

Worst Clemson team in damn near twenty years, and Norvell is fighting for his life off a bye week. Please fire him by Sunday afternoon, @PresMcCullough.
NEW: Florida State's Mike Norvell says he sent in and called the head of ACC officials over the "absolute joke" of a holding call that wiped away a Hail Mary against Miami:
"For those kids to not be able to finish the game on the field in that moment, it's really disappointing. A lot of judgment calls in all things, but that was bad. I haven't gotten the final response from them, but if it's anything less than what I said, it tells me everything I need to know."

Another inferior opponent, and somehow the product looks worse. No identity, no consistency, and nothing about this team suggests it’s headed in the right direction. I’ll keep watching, but I’m beyond ready for Norvell to go.

Explain to me why our DBs play 10 yards off the ball on 3rd & 1? And yes, they threw a screen to the bottom part of the field to convert 🤦🏻♂️
4 turnovers and they still win by 3 Mike Norvell dynasty should’ve ended last season @FSUFootball

Short lived tradition🍢:
From 2008-2016 Florida State starting QBs attempted throwing over the famous FSU Pike mansion.
Jameis Winston and Deondre Francois got it over on their first attempts.👀
Rumor has it that Christian Ponder and EJ Manuel failed.
