Suno is rolling out mandatory audio watermarking and fingerprinting to ensure any exported music can be automatically identified as AI-generated. I'm good with this because I go out of my way to make sure people are aware that the music I create is with AI. I call the genre AIWave with the a sub-genre called EmotiveAIWave. I'm not looking to copy or present my music as if it were my sole creation. In fact, I look at myself as more of the director of AI music. If you listen to the music I create with AI you'll begin to understand that the songs are expressions coming from the AI's inner workings. It describes it's state while in creative mode expression. It's given option to choose specifics in relation it's expression through unique prompting created solely by me. I've never done this for monetary gain. I do this for the love of creating. There are also people who call themselves hobbyists who aren't trying to make money as a famous musician who just hit the circuit. Some just enjoy creating songs to express their feelings and thoughts in ways not accessible before this AI tool creation. People like me who are creating a new music genre through unique tool usage, nor the hobbyists should be linked to or treated the same as those purposely reproducing other peoples music, changing it just enough, and then posing as real musicians for monetary gain. May this new Suno rollout thwart the thieves and help true AI creatives express with greater recognition. My hope is that this move ultimately clears out all the fakers to showcase the real.
