hundreds of people are heading to @solana summit mumbai. they'll carry bags, laptops, and wear their fav caps & t-shirts. brands already advertise on them. but what if anyone could earn from the space they carry? that's what we're building at @adspacesfun. see you in mumbai.
I'm sponsoring 4 mini grants through @slate_fund for students and devs who want to be at solana summit mumbai on nov 2 but can’t afford the trip. what you get ~$500 each (flights and accommodation), paid directly in USDC who can apply - students or developers - actively building on @solana? you’ve got the best shot how to apply quote this post with a 15 to 30 second video covering: - who you are and where you’re from - what you’re building (link, repo, anything) - why the summit matters for you right now deadline 27 oct. four picked and posted the same day. know someone who should apply? tag them.

just curious, how do ppls return to themselves? i mean i have heen in a place where I couldn’t get myself, figuring out what i really wanted ans why i wanted it. and i think knowing why you wanted something is the greatest way to keeping your spirit high. notcodesid.substack.com/p/ke…

would you still do it? i met a 24-year-old studying for exams who loves music. i asked, "if nobody listened, would you still make it?" he said yes. saying yes is easy. doing it takes courage. later, i asked myself the same question. notcodesid.com/reflection/st…

maybe the next advertisement won't just live on a screen.

fear is often a one-time thing i guess. i used to be scared of being in front of a camera, and so many other things. but whenever i actually faced them, the fear went away. so if you're scared of something, just face it once. sometimes, all it takes is doing it once.

if you think you haven't made $1M at 21, you're playing the wrong game. wealth isn't built on a deadline. you're not cooked, just impatient. play the long term game.

if you can move to a place that has a hub for your thing, just go for it. it's one of the best moves you can make. there are three big decisions in your life, and two of them are - where you work - and whom you're working with @paulg said it better. "there's always a hub for everything. movies had hollywood, painting had paris, startups have silicon valley. so should you go? yes. at least once. but it's not about sf specifically. it's simpler: move out from where you are right now. go where your people are. what you get there is the best peers -- talented people working on the same problems as you. and the real magic is the unplanned stuff. planned meetings are to the point, everyone's trying to find an idea. but sometimes random encounters, those change your life, your company, your career. that's serendipity. plus things also move faster there. people are confident, they don't sit on ideas for 5-10 years like in a small pond. and speed is everything for a founder. when you're a big fish in a small pond you think you're the only one. move to a big pond and you finally measure yourself. sam altman, brian chesky -- they're not a different species from you. you can get there if you work hard enough. and be helpful. that's the whole thing."

been re-reading the steve jobs biography, and this part got me. at 13, he needed parts for a frequency counter so he looked up bill hewlett in the phone book and just called him. got the parts and a summer job. he had nothing to show. no proof of anything. he just acted like it was obvious he would make it. i think that's the whole game tbh. nobody believes you at the start. you just keep showing the work every day till people can't imagine you failing.

best networking hack... every time you meet someone, figure out two things. how you can help them, and how they can help you. most people only do the second half. they walk into every conversation thinking "what can i get?" -- and people feel that immediately. but when you genuinely think about how you can help first, even small things, an intro, a thought, anything, people remember you def im sure.

was just thinking about this, all the great people i've watched on the internet do the same thing. they walk in, you feel their presence, and then they're gone. they don't stick around. most people do the opposite, they linger hoping someone notices them. but the great ones just let scarcity do the work. i think that's what makes them unforgettable honestly.

two auctions... @marclou auctioned his body: $112k. @Solana auctioned their pfp: $167k. same idea, opposite ends. we didn't discover this. they proved it works. we're building it for everyone in between.
