Busted out the camper for a jolly yesterday. Just about fell off my perch when I filled it up with Diesel. Pleased my Daily is an EV 🫣 (Ps. The numbers on the top are the km recorded for mpg purposes)

Fascinated by how low the radiators can run. 29.7°C today with the ASHP on — and the whole house just feels different. Softer heat, quieter, more even. No scorching pipes, no sudden blasts. Just this gentle, constant warmth that somehow makes the place feel lovely. #HeatPumpLove

Torbay Council now requires a permit if you're using a trailer to visit the recycling centre. Whilst aimed at controlling commercial waste, I can't help but wonder if this will simply encourage more fly-tipping instead. Is this really the right solution? 🤔 #Torbay #FlyTipping

Its our 1st Year aniversary of our house running on full electric - #NoGas - we often get asked how much it cost to run our ASHP (among other Q's which I love to answer) - so I prepared this sheet to give them. #HeatPumpLove - It works for us (very well)

Diesel fuel in Torbay has just broken the £2 a litre today. No doubt the rest will follow. I gave up diesel 6 yrs ago when it was just under £1.30 I do feel sorry for those with no other option. 😔

So - I have worked out some stats for our 1st year with our #ASHP from @OctopusEnergy . For us it’s 100% a win. They wont suit everyone, but if you are contemplating it, with additional tech, it accelerates the benefit. Interesting to see the COP stats #NoGas

Hey. I got my first block today. Accused of lying. But with evidence of the truth it’s ’your blocked’ rather than saying sorry. Apparently all climate people lie according to @kevf3480 🤔

UK grid right now: 73% renewable. Wind 16.9 GW. Solar 6.5 GW. Gas just 9%. Agile rates: • Lowest -1.94p • Average 23.4p (−14.9% vs yesterday) When #renewables dominate, prices collapse. More wind. More solar. Less dependence on gas is needed.

179‑mile round trip today to see a client. 3.5 hours driving, used 43.8 kWh. Home charge cost: ~£3. My old car would’ve been £35. Doesn’t take many trips like this to see how much cheaper an EV really is.
