The debate on how we should treat children does, to a certain extent, come down to where you stand on the spectrum of individualism / collectivism spectrum.

If a child says I don’t want to go to school today, then there are ways in which you can respond to that where you take the child seriously but the end result will still be that the child goes to school.

It’s productive to convert notes into evergreen notes which are simple and make a single, short, succinct point. These points then act as key markers and hooks from which to hang other thinking and ideas that are related, or add to, that initial evergreen note.
We often find ourselves mindlessly scrolling through Instagram. @taimurabdaal’s suggestion is to try to catch yourself and ask what do you actually want to be doing right now.
