It is exceptionally heartening & critically important to see our fellow journalists taking a united stand for freedom of the press and adherence to the First Amendment provisions, while those organizations banned from the White House challenge the process exactly where they should: in a court of law. @pressfreedom @UNESCO washingtonpost.com/business/…

We will find the way to feed them…..
KHERSON AO: Russian occupation forces have deliberately sealed off the city of Oleshky. Roads to the city are mined, electricity, fuel and food supplies are cut, and Russia has attacked aid convoys and medical teams with FPV drones. ISW predicts a humanitarian disaster.

I met with our military pilots who are training at the International Test Pilots School in Canada. The guys are training to master modern fighter jets, including F-16s and Gripens, and strengthen Ukraine’s combat aviation. We’re doing everything we can to protect our skies, and the key to that is having good, motivated pilots. We’re proud that Ukraine and our Armed Forces have a generation of young pilots like this. I thank Canada, all the instructors, and the training center for providing high-quality training.

The cathedral on the grounds of the historic Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built around 1050 and one of the holiest sites in Eastern Europe, is on fire tonight as Russia launches another mass missile and drone attack on Ukraine’s capital. Mayor Klitschko confirmed the blaze.

Marta Kostyuk gave a very emotional speech about Ukraine after beating Selekhmeteva in Roland Garros Marta: “I’m incredibly proud of myself today. I think it was one of the most difficult matches of my career. This morning, 100 meters from my parent’s house, the missile destroyed the building. It was a very difficult morning. I didn’t know how this match is gonna turn out for me. I didn’t know how I would handle it. I’ve been crying part of the morning. I don’t wanna talk about myself today. I’m very pleased to be in the 2nd round, but all of my thoughts and all my heart goes to the people of Ukraine today. Thank you so much for coming out. Slava Ukraine.” ❤️ “With this kind of events you told us.. Why is it so important to be here on the court today?” Marta: “Because I think it’s important to keep going. My biggest example is Ukrainian people. I woke up in the morning today and I looked at all these people who woke up and kept living their live, kept helping people who are in need. I knew a lot of Ukrainian flags would be here today and a lot of Ukrainian people would come out and support. My friends from Ukraine came as well. Very happy to have them here. Not much I can say.” ❤️

Russia is waging its war not only against our people. It is waging it against Ukrainian culture, history, memory, industry, and the normal way of life. Kyiv, the epicenter of Russia’s attack tonight, will recover. Russia’s reputation as a terrorist state will not. We must collectively ensure that enough pressure is put on Russia for the sake of peace. With abundant wildlife that includes deer, mink, beavers, and 200 species of birds, Riverwood is one of the most diverse ecosystems in the Credit River watershed; pretty incredible given we're right in the heart of #Mississauga. #InternationalDayForBiologicalDiversity

This is what Victory Day looked like for Ukrainians in 1945. Instead of the fascists and Hitler, our grandparents got the Soviets and Stalin. And today, Ukrainians are facing their direct descendants: the rashists and Putin.
