This is a fascinating and important report: internationally, teachers now spend more time than ever dealing with behaviour. This is the biggest international survey of teachers and principals. And it's a huge data set.
According to TALIS, Between 2018 and 2024, teachers report a 23% (!!) increase in there share of classroom time consumed by maintaining calms and order. But there's more...
Is student discipline getting worse?
OECD data show that teachers now spend more time keeping order in their classes than they did six years ago...
... this could impact the number of teachers leaving the profession.

Lord of life, today we ask for the grace to recognize and protect the unique and unrepeatable value of every human being. May we learn to welcome life unconditionally, to tenderly care for fragility, to accompany each stage with respect, and to bravely defend those who have no voice. This is an absolute must watch for anyone who is troubled by the current situation in Australia and who is unsure of how we turn things around. Thank you @HonTonyAbbott for your insights - outstanding! 👏
How a nation understands its past shapes the confidence with which it faces the future.
@HonTonyAbbott argues that Western countries must reject narratives of perpetual shame and recover a truthful confidence in their own civilisational inheritance.
Watch the full speech from ARC 2026:
How and why this topic is not more widely discussed is beyond me. There is a growing critical issue here in Australia (and indeed the west), yet the woke left have the loudest voice at present and they defend this madness! @JohnAndersonAC @HonTonyAbbott

For those with a grudge against their own country, it’s sustained mass migration, especially from countries with quite different cultures, that’s the surest and swiftest way to change and punish a place that’s irredeemably tainted by unforgivable sin. This is done in order to dilute and eventually to extinguish the Anglo-Celtic core culture and the Judaeo-Christian foundational ethos (which is actually what attracts migrants to the Anglosphere) that today’s left-establishment finds so suffocating and judgmental. And it’s to encourage migrants to “other” themselves by funding ethnic activism under Orwellian slogans like “our diversity is our unity” or “our diversity is our strength”.
In this regard, migrants from Islamic countries are especially useful, because belief in a global caliphate, and the conviction that it’s the Koran rather than the legislature that validates law, starts to make pluralist democracy unworkable. To green-left, cultural-Marxist governments, mass migration from the “global south” is not a problem; it’s the plan. It’s the way for supposedly unjustly rich countries to atone for their white privilege and to apologise to poorer ones by becoming more like them.

📣 MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT – CONSENT AND RESPECTFUL RELATIONSHIPS EDUCATION CURRICULUM SUPPORT RESOURCES 🎉
We’re pleased to share the news of the successful rollout of the Live Life to the Full curriculum support resources across the NSW Catholic education sector.
These resources, which are grounded in a Catholic understanding of the human person – created in the image and likeness of God, endowed with inherent dignity, and called to live in right relationship with others –support schools in the formation of young people intellectually, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
Developed by Choicez Media and delivered in partnership with Catholic Schools NSW, the Live Life to the Full resources strengthen the delivery of Consent and Respectful Relationships Education (CRRE) by equipping teachers to teach with confidence, consistency, and care. Today, Australia marks a National Day of Mourning.
We honour the 15 innocent lives taken in the Bondi Beach terrorist attack, and stand with their families, loved ones and the Bondi Chabad community.
We will never let hate win.
All Australians are encouraged to mark this day. Light a candle, pause for a minute of silence at 7.01pm, and stand with one another.
Flags are flying at half-mast across the country as we mourn together.
This is a day of remembrance. And a day of unity.
Because light will always be stronger than hate.

So now the Bondi terror attack is being spun as a gun issue.
Let’s be clear, I am grateful for gun control in this country. But we need to get serious about values control as well.
After the Christchurch massacre the focus was on values first and guns as the enabler. We should apply the same logic this time.

Catholic Education statement on Bondi terrorist attack
Last night, members of the Jewish community peacefully gathered to celebrate a religious festival when an appalling act of terror occurred.
Our Jewish brothers and sisters have again experienced violence and fear in a way that has not been seen in New South Wales in living memory.
As a faith community, Catholic Education condemns antisemitism in all its forms. There can be no tolerance for hatred, intimidation, or violence directed at any religious or cultural group. Every person has the right to worship, gather, and celebrate in peace and safety.
Jewish leaders for some time, have warned that antisemitism is increasing and safety is at risk, we pray for the strength and determination of all those in authority to respond as they should.
In this season of Advent, our hearts are filled with hope, but now also sorrow. Catholic school communities across New South Wales pray for the souls of those who were murdered, for their families and loved ones, and for all who have been traumatised by this act. We pray for wisdom and courage for those entrusted with public safety, and for renewed commitment to protecting social harmony, human dignity and swift justice.
Pope Saint John Paul II once said to the Jewish community in Rome: “You are our dearly beloved brothers, and in a certain way it could be said that you are our elder brothers.” These words resonate deeply today.
Catholic schools stand in solidarity with the Jewish community and reaffirm our shared commitment to peace, justice, and respect for all.
