Australian officials have issued a reminder to shut your car doors after one wombat helped himself to several passenger seats. The notice followed complaints from visitors at a popular picnic area, where the same wombat reportedly kept climbing into parked cars while people unloaded bags or packed up lunch. At first, staff thought they were receiving several calls about one incident. Then they realized the cars were different. The passenger wasn’t. One couple waited nearly an hour before he climbed out. Another visitor said he settled into the seat before she’d even finished putting her things in the boot. Officials asked visitors to keep their doors closed and contact staff if they found an unexpected occupant. After the photos spread online, a park spokesperson clarified the situation. “He hasn’t been abandoned. He lives here. Please stop calling to say someone’s left their wombat in a car.”

I’m so glad Reform UK councillor Susan Lawrence doesn’t sit on the committee overseeing financial reporting of MY council’s multimillion-pound budget. Poor Wolverhampton.

Blakes 7: Ultraworld (10 March 1980). An artificial planet wants to absorb all the knowledge in the universe and upload every mind. Vila defeats it by telling terrible jokes that cause model collapse. Literally. The giant pulsating brain at the centre of the planet collapses. This was the only episode Trevor Hoyle wrote, though he did write three Blakes 7 novelisations. Is it a satire on AI? It is a bit silly, but it's also very prescient about training data and the quest for perfect knowledge. The Orb certainly liked it, and their 1991 track "A Huge Ever Growing Pulsating Brain That Rules from the Centre of the Ultraworld" is a kind of tribute to the episode: youtu.be/0nL1-jnCkfw

All juries need to be comprised of 46 million people each to ensure a fair trial. (The judge will accept a majority verdict of 38 million)

So it’s ’believe the women’ if the attacker is brown, but if they’re white, it’s ’believe the attacker’? And you cry about a two tier justice system…

"His legal team went to a different school"
Last year, I sent this clip to the police, parliament and Russell’s legal team. The police said no statement from me was required. I never heard back from his former legal team. He since changed legal teams. Convince me that Russell’s HUMAN RIGHT to a FAIR trial has been upheld.

“Stay strong, Russell” says Restore councillor Owain Clatworthy who’s probably in the pub right now with some pisshead supporters wanging on about ‘protecting ar wimmin’. Glamorgan Gazette @glamgazette - the residents of Bridgend need to be made aware.
How can anyone trust this corrupt TWO-TIER British justice system? Russell Brand was just found guilty after years of media attacks and a full on witch hunt. Funny how the real pressure only kicked off once he questioned the elites, rejected the COVID narrative, and publicly found Jesus as his Lord and Savior. They dug up old claims from decades ago, when he was living a very different life, and turned it into a show trial to silence a man who got off the establishment script and started speaking truth. Two tier justice is real, the powerful get protection, while anyone who challenges the system and turns to God gets targeted. This is why so many people have zero trust in these institutions. Stay strong, Russell.

A vital moment for Dominik Tarczyński MEP to release his fantastic book Be Like Poland. Our friends are fighting for their hard won freedom. We back them to win!

The dust on Mars is small enough to get past your lungs and into your bloodstream, and NASA just found some of it still clinging to spacesuit fabric after four and a half years of a rover driving around in it. Perseverance has a little square of Teflon bolted to it. Its X-ray instrument can't detect anything Teflon is made of, so to the X-ray that square is basically invisible. Which means for 1,645 Martian days, every signal it picked up off the Teflon came from dust that had landed on top. NASA also strapped five spacesuit swatches onto the rover before it launched in 2020, each about the size of a postage stamp. There's a piece of helmet visor in there, some glove fabric, and a few other suit layers. The original plan was to see how suit materials hold up on Mars, and measuring dust came along as a bonus. Before this, nothing on Mars had ever measured dust smaller than about 3 micrometers. This time they saw grains down to around 100 nanometers, which is roughly 700 times thinner than a human hair. Plenty of it comes in under 2.5 micrometers, the same PM2.5 reading your phone warns you about when wildfire smoke rolls into town. Static is what keeps it stuck. Grains bang into each other during Martian dust storms and build up a charge, and each material on the rover pulled in a different size of grain. Years of driving and drilling shook the bigger clumps loose while the tiniest particles stayed put the entire time. That's a real problem for anyone planning to wear a suit up there, since Teflon-type materials are common in the outer layers of spacesuits and they grab exactly that fine stuff. The chemistry makes it worse. Mars dust carries perchlorates, which can mess with your thyroid, plus reactive iron that damages cells. Apollo astronauts got hay fever symptoms from Moon dust after just a few days on the surface, and a Mars crew would be living around this for months. You might've seen that this dust can cross the blood-brain barrier. The study never tested that, it's borrowing from Earth research where ultrafine particles have been tracked traveling from the nose into the brain along the smell nerve. Also, zoom in on that calibration target. There's a tiny geocache on it stamped 221BBAKER, because the instrument is called SHERLOC and its camera is called WATSON. NASA engineers have jokes. The likely fix is something called a suitport. Your suit stays latched to the outside wall of the habitat, you climb in through a hatch in the back, and the dust stays outside with the suit. Engineers now know exactly what particle sizes they're designing against, all because of a square of Teflon the rover's own X-ray can't see.
NEW - NASA’s Mars rover, Perseverance, finds that Martian dust is smaller and more dangerous than previously thought, with the ultrafine particles able to stick to spacesuit materials, be carried into living areas, and bypass the human blood-brain barrier.
