JUST IN: 🇺🇸 SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce calls to end mass KYC data collection, warning it puts crypto holders at risk of phishing and physical attacks.
Pierce says the current KYC/AML system creates massive databases of sensitive information that can be hacked, leaked, or exploited.
She's pushing for zero-knowledge proofs (ZK proofs) that could verify users meet regulatory requirements without exposing their personal information.

Ironically, @worldcoin is already doing this for Tinder, Minecraft, Shopify, various delivery services, etc. What I find most intriguing is that World ID is being positioned as an authentication layer not just for websites and AI agents, but for physical AI/robots.
Example: autonomous delivery robot → prescription delivery → World ID verifies the intended recipient → robot unlocks.
The fact that: (1) a ethereum:0x163f8c2467924be0ae7b5347228cabf260318753 ETF from @Grayscale is imminent, (2) they gave up the eyeball shit and (3) they have worked to reduce their emissions adds to the narrative imo. Worth watching.
