I know everyone is mentioning it but man I want to hammer that Alexis Lafreniere has been really really fucking good this year like superstar level he's outside of the top 10 in net rating for forwards by .03! Laf is at 3.09

Mike Sullivan has
- Given full trust to a 21 year old F in Top 6 deployment
- 1st coach to give their former 1st overall PP1 time and 19 min a night
- Play a 18 year old, 1st Round defenseman 15+ min a night
Say what you want about some of his lineup decisions but he’s shown far more trust in young players than any other recent Ranger head coach

Gabe Perreault isn't like most recent Ranger first-round picks - he's actually acclimated to the pro game without issue. Not only that - but he's a reliable contributor too! We're not used to that as Ranger fans! #NYR

Elliotte Friedman: Re Rangers goalie search: There have been some rumblings out there that they like Ukko-Pekka Lukkonen - NHL Now (10/16)

NHLRR: Buffalo have an unsettled crease situation, with Luukkonen in rumours, plus two other NHL goalies in Colten Ellis and Alex Lyon, plus rumours linking them to Connor Hellebuyck

Elliotte Friedman on the 32 Thoughts Podcast about the goalie situation with #NYR : What Drury’s gonna do is, he’s gonna be like Santa Claus. He’s making a list, he’s checking it twice, he’s gonna figure out who looks good and who looks bad [...] (Scott Clemmensen, goalie scout). He was in Montreal-Buffalo, I assume to watch Luukkonen. - 10/15 #LetsGoBuffalo #NHL

Tough news for @NYRangers re Shesterkin.
Do NYR make a play for Helleybucyk for the year ? Gustavsson ? Blackwood ? Jonathan Quick return to playing ? Mrazek is ready to play I’m told. Reimer ? #HockeyX

Some other moving parts for #NYR roster:
- Joe Veleno is going to be out for at least 3 months with his lower-body injury, so he’s heading to LTIR
- Spencer Martin has been cleared from his injury and is expected to be recalled as the No. 2 goalie
- Cole Beaudoin is being sent back to AHL Hartford and Juuso Pärssinen is being recalled

Mike Sullivan on Alexis Lafrenière:
"We're using him 5-on-6. That's a responsibility, that's a privilege. We're not just handing that stuff to Laf, we think he's earned them. His complete game on both sides of the puck continues to grow and develop"
