From @TheAthletic: J.J. Watt has been installed as CBS’s permanent No. 1 NFL game analyst in a multi-year deal, the network announced Thursday.  Watt was thrust into the role this fall as a fill-in for Tony Romo. nyti.ms/3UGXyUv

“He identified Watt has his guy” is a characteristically bad typo by @AndrewMarchand for he identified Watt as his guy, and part of “The NFL Today” studio team is a bad grammatical error for part of the “NFL Today” studio team. You need a “the” outside the quotes to modify team.

J.J. Watt went from fill-in to the permanent No. 1 analyst! 🔥🏈 Sometimes, the best opportunities come when you’re simply ready to step up.

Every day he keeps looking more and more like this dude from Night at the Roxbury

He's fine. At this point, across networks, that's the bar, and most aren't clearing it (CFB and NFL)

The best news I’ve read today. Tony Romo was an absolute menace and horrible at his job. JJ has experience and credibility plus he’s a fun guy. Romo is just a self-serving country club jerk off

Tony Romo got a DUI. Who cares, he was a great broadcaster

Congrats to the gridiron guru—because when you need analysis, you’d rather trust a former lineman than a seasoned reporter who actually knows the game.
