The more you live within the subconscious/lower states of conscious mind (ego), and the less you're sitting in the higher states of consciousness (self) — the more you identity with your past to project your future, and the more you limit growth and potential because the subconscious mind will ALWAYS prefer to choose familiarity, rather than unknown. Even if it's PAIN & SUFFERING! For example, your doctor tells you that you have "chronic fatigue syndrome" — so your identity becomes exactly that. Your neural circuitry reinforces the patterns of fatigue, depression, and pain. Even if you're moving forward in your healing journey, you may have woken up multiple days in a row with symptoms, like fatigue, so the body will associate waking up with fatigue — even if your biochemistry is improving. This is how much the power of the mind and nervous system has over us when it's not being consciously regulated. With all that being said, I'm not taking away from the power of support the physical body and it's absolutely fundamental. This is just another layer to supports deep healing and unlocking a human's full potential. You build the architecture to support this through general health principles such as nutrition, hydration, and sleep. For example, you need B1, B5, choline, and acetate (from glucose) to make acetylcholine; and this is the neurotransmitter that activates the vagus nerve (which ties into the Chakra system). You need to support neurogenesis (eg., herbalism, exercise, acupuncture) to relieve neuroplastic conditions that amplify symptoms. You practice this through meditation, breath work, journalling, emotional/trauma work, somatic/fascia work, pain reprocessing therapy, reading insights on ancient systems and psychology, and the active process of stripping away everything that you think you are (the ego), but you are not (self). You now observe the symptom rather than identify with it, which mitigates the dissolution of the ego that amplifies the response. This should be layered in alongside lab work analysis, nutrient tracking, symptom assessments and treatment, and other dietary, herbal, and lifestyle interventions (beyond the above).
Most humans are living their lives through the subconscious mind which is where the ego loves to take control. The ego tricks you, it acts like it's actually you, but it's not. It's make you think you're enlightened, but the identity of enlightenment is ironically the ego. Your ego, is simply the identity that one creates through experience, trauma, expectations, and memory. Thoughts are not us, because we listen to them. Once you listen instead of observe, then thoughts become emotions, and emotions become feelings, and feelings become physiological shifts within the body. The ego is like an annoying room mate that think they know what's good for you. Yes, sometimes you can listen, and it can be powerful. But >99% of what that room mate is saying to you is simply noise. The ego is not bad, it's fundamental. The problem is that everyone unknowingly has its activity hyperactive. When one is stressed, it means they are not satisfied with the present moment (most of us). When this occurs, we start to pull from safe and pleasurable moments from the past found in the memory bank, we view these memories with rose-colored glasses, and then we start to start project this into shaping the future. Ultimately, this shapes your actions and decisions, which normally ends in regret and further negativity, and the cycle repeats. Ironically, the pressure that comes with this paradoxically creates more pain and stress rather than what we're aiming for. This creates a human being that is further from healing, all from the lack of control of mind and body. This also reinforces the inability to move forward and heal. The subconscious mind further fears the unknown, and further becomes attached to the current identity and state one is in, even a disease state/label. It's not until you become comfortable with being in the present moment — which removes the external factors that shape your false identity, and instead allows you to go inwards — that you dissolve and control the ego and raise your level of consciousness to become aware of the subconscious that governs your thoughts, feelings, emotions, actions, and ultimately, your health and wellbeing.

for your own sake, you genuinely have to believe in the theory of infinite abundance for every lost love, missed opportunity, blown chance & failed test, there’s always a future substitute of equal or greater value this is the only rational way to trick yourself into getting the most out of life

i hate how most people in healthcare don’t actually give a fuck, they really be in it for the stability of a job but actually have no passion for it and I know this is normal but my neurodivergent brain cannot comprehend this and it seriously bothers me way too much
