The Europoors are at it again.
I can't believe that this government looks at the slowest growing continent on planet earth and thinks 'yes, let's be more like them'.
Europe is a chronic disaster zone and we should largely be doing precisely the opposite of what it decrees - especially on energy and tech policy.
Equivalent of prisoners finding ways to tap against pipes to communicate with other cells
‘In one experiment, we asked agents in separate VMs, created and managed by OpenAI’s sandboxing software on shared host machines, to exchange synthetic secrets without the use of network connections or shared writable files—something that our systems are meant to prevent. The agents found a way to communicate using the processor’s cache’

My personal agent setup with Hermes by @NousResearch working in tandem with Claude Code/Codex running across VPS and some local laptops has been working like a charm.
I've recently been demoing it at a few events and had people ask tons of questions.
Instead of writing a long post that nobody will read, I am hosting a live workshop where we will run through my setup.

mRNA will be crucial to beating cancer and solving disease but only if we can deliver it to the right cells.
Nanograb's AI-designed multivalent nanoparticles address a cell's unique receptor fingerprint, now proven in vivo across multiple cell types and scaling to many more.

Churchill could have shortened WW2 by years if he had just “done a deal” with Hitler. George Washington could have done a deal to end the American Revolution. Zelenskyy is in good company.

AI has read the whole internet. But it’s never run payroll or a business.
We’re changing that.
Today, we’re launching Emet, our AI lab for model evaluation and training, and Pangaea, our first family of models for global work.
On real payroll tasks, the best AI model fully solves only 49%. Close enough to look right. Wrong enough to break a paycheck.
At Emet, in-country experts define what getting it right looks like. We turn that into public benchmarks and training data, and score every model against them. Ours included.
Pangaea is the first proof. Built on open-weight models and trained with Emet, it gets close to top-model accuracy, up to 3x faster, at a fraction of the cost.
@deel and the payroll teams that joined us bring decades of experience running payroll, HR, and compliance across 150+ countries. Knowledge the internet doesn’t have.
Emet puts it to work for every AI model, not just ours.
Big life update: After over 8 years as COO, and with a heavy heart, I am transitioning into a non-executive role at @CoinRuleHQ. Working with my co-founders Gabriele Musella (@freshmuse), Zdeněk Höfler @ethical_daddy) and so many other world class colleagues, serving our 450,000+ users and being supported by our wonderful investors including Y Combinator, Urban Innovation Fund, NZ VC, CV VC and others has been the greatest honor of my professional life.
Together we have celebrated great successes and experienced wonderful heights: we built a profitable company and a product that has transacted billions of dollars in trading volume and continues to be at the forefront of trading technology and now also of AI agentic trading. But for me the time was right to look for a new professional challenge. After 8 years, retail trading products are no longer what I want most to build.
Over the past year, I have dived deep into AI, building with agents and the many new use cases this enables (check my Github for more!). I also remain attached to Crypto. As an industry, we have barely begun to fulfill the mission of making finance and technology more decentralized, transparent and accessible and I remain as passionate for this mission as I was on my first day.
So what’s next for me? I am working on new things but it’s too early to share. And if you are working on hard problems in AI or Crypto, come find me! 🔥

If given the choice between large State with closed borders and generous handouts, or small state with open borders and no handouts, I'd choose the later every day.
Immigrants from anywhere, so long as they get no handouts and are not permitted to violate private property, are little threat to anyone. And the immigrant that violates property is no worse than the citizen who does the same.
In America, it's white citizens in DC who do the vast majority of the looting, and who cause the vast majority of harm to the country and its people.
Because the scale of the State is so large, it necessarily invites special interest groups of all manner to organize and struggle for benefits. The danger of these factions over time, which the Founders wrote about explicitly, grows in proportion to state size. Identity politics (just a more contemporary name for such factions), which is wholly disintegrating any national concept of the people of America, is less a consequence of immigrants than of the game theory of an ever-growing state that dishes out loot to whomever demands it.
Property prices in and around DC is a much more damning indictment of modern America than any perceived border issue. It is not the barbarians at the gates but the kleptocrats within which most endangers this country.
If you want to deport people, start with Nancy Pelosi.
Replying to @ErikVoorhees @Selkis_2028
I think libertarianism is a self-refuting concept. It presumes a high-trust, self-governing society, but its core tenets are used to dismantle the borders and cultural homogeneity required for that society to exist. You cant sustain a free society while systematically importing people who don't share your history, religion, or values.
Sure, you can argue about "true" libertarianism versus open-border variants, but at this point, the movement is so fragmented that nobody knows what it actually stands for. When your advocacy for liberty acts as a battering ram to erase the national identit you're just creating a vacuum of social trust that a massive, managerial bureaucracy is all too happy to fill.
Essentially libertarians are used as pawns. They're a neutralizing weapon for those that would actually gain power and use it.
I do see them as allies though with the ability to evolve in thought. I admire libertarians like Tom Woods and Jeremy Kauffman.

The biggest, and stupidest, myth in European politics, particularly popular in France, is that Europe suffers the consequences of "austerity" and "neoliberalism". In the biggest 5 countries in Europe, more than half of the population makes its income from the state, less than half from the private sector. This is what makes the problem of reducing the welfare state so impossible: more than half of the voters are net recipients. No surprise that Italy's budget has not been balanced in 100 years, France's in 50 years (ooh la la, l'austérité!!):
-France: 30 million from the state versus 21m private sector workers. State spending is 57% of GDP, taxes more than half the economy. The budget hasn't been balanced in the lifetime of most French (since 1974).
- Germany: 35 million adults from the state, versus 34 million from the private sector. 10% of the population is registered as severely disabled. Public spending is over half of GDP. Germany has had a continuous budget deficit since 2019.
-Italy: 23 million from the state, versus 20.5 million private-sector workers. Public spending is 51% of GDP. Italy has had a budget deficit every year since 1925, for 100 years.
- Spain more people get their income from the state since 2024: 18.21 million from the public sector versus 17.9 million people working in the private sector. Since 2025, Spain also had more government employees than self-employed workers (autónomos) for the first time in history. State spending is at 45%, budget has not been balanced since 2007.
- UK: 54% of households now receive more in state benefits than they pay in taxes. State spending is 44.5% of GDP, taxes (40%) are at their highest since 1950, the budget hasn't been balanced since 2001, and 1 in 5 new cars is paid by the government through a bizarre state disability scheme (Motability).

We are hurtling towards another crisis without acting.
England's last new reservoir is older than Google.
It's older than eBay.
That's how long it's been.
Construction of Carsington Water started in 1979. After a dam had to be rebuilt in the 1980s, it was finally opened in 1992.
That’s *34* years ago. Now parts of England are in SEVERE drought.
The next new one won’t be open until 2034. The Gov’s own forecasts show that we will have a shortfall of almost 5 BILLION LITRES of water EVERY day in the 2050s.
We do not have to accept water rationing.
Gov should take radical action. Build the reservoirs. Faster.
