There should be 8 10 team regionally based conferences with an auto bid to the playoffs. And a relegation system so u can get booted into a second teir conference if u suck. It would require the dismantling of a lot of stuff and will never happen. But it would be legit.

If you are gonna have a 24 team playoff, every single conference champ should get an auto bid, and then 14 at large choices. Obviously its gonna end up being a p2 circle jerk tho. Lame.
