*OPEN REPLY TO THE DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND AND THE DELTA STATE GOVERNMENT ON THE ASABA KILLING* We have read with pain and anger, the statements by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, and the Commissioner for Works and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, on the killing of one person and injuring of five others along Nnebisi Road, Asaba on Saturday during a peaceful procession by the Obidient/OK Movement in support of Mr. Peter Obi. We condemn the killing. But we reject the attempt to blame the victims for their own murder. Let us be clear: *This was not a coincidence. This was not a mere "clash." This was a conceived action plan.* *1. A Conceived Plan To Attack, Harm And Silence The Opposition* What happened in Asaba is part of a deliberate, well-planned strategy to continuously attack opposition parties, expose them to harm, and then use that same violence as an excuse to declare " *no street rally."* The pattern is now too clear to ignore: First, deny the opposition access to public facilities — stadiums, fields, halls, schools town halls, etc. Second, when they are forced to use the road, which is their constitutional right, allow thugs to attack them. Third, after the attack, the Police and Government will come out to say "we warned them" and "they should have used a designated venue." Fourth, use the bloodshed as justification to ban opposition rallies altogether. *That is the plan. Attack them, blame them, then ban them.* The ultimate goal is not peace. The ultimate goal is to use state power to bar the NDC and other opposition parties from campaigning in Delta State, while the APC campaigns freely everywhere. We see it. Deltans see it. Nigerians see it. *2. If you had intelligence, what did you do with it?* The Police said they received intelligence suggesting a likelihood of violence before the procession. They said they invited the organisers and advised them to cancel. That is not policing. That is abdication. If you had credible intelligence that an attack was being planned, your duty under the Police Act and the Constitution was to: - Identify the planners, - Arrest and interrogate them, - Deploy men to protect the procession, - Secure the route, - And prevent the attack. Why was no one arrested BEFORE the attack? Why was no suspect picked up? Why did you wait until after one Nigerian was killed and five injured, to now say investigations are ongoing? Intelligence without action is useless. If you knew, why did you allow the killers to strike? Or was the intelligence itself part of the plan to warn the victims, not the attackers? *3. Why is the security report always negative only when it is the opposition?* Whenever the NDC, Obidient Movement, or any opposition party wants to hold a rally, suddenly there is a "security threat." Suddenly the Police advise them to cancel or go to a "designated venue." But when the APC holds its rallies, road shows, and open street processions in Asaba, Warri, Ughelli and other towns, there is never a security threat. There is never a warning. There is never a police advice to cancel. Is violence only possible when the opposition gathers? Is APC immune to security threats in Delta State? If the Police are truly neutral, let them publish the security reports for APC rallies in the last six months. Let Deltans see if the same warnings were given.Until then, this looks like selective policing to suppress the opposition.
DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE CLASH AT A POLITICAL RALLY ORGANIZED BY OBEDIENT/OK MOVEMENT IN SUPPORT OF PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE OF NDC IN ASABA: POLICE COMMENCE INVESTIGATION, ADVISE POLITICAL PARTIES/SUPPORTERS AGAINST ROAD PROCESSIONS The Delta State Police Command has commenced a full-scale investigation into a violent incident involving supporters during a political rally organised by the Obedient/OK movement in support of the presidential candidate of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Asaba on Saturday, 7th November 2026, which resulted in the death of one person and injuries to five others. 2. Prior to the rally, the Command received an intelligence report indicating the likelihood of violence and consequently invited the organisers to a security meeting. During the engagement, they were briefed on the identified security threats and advised against holding an open road procession. They were further encouraged to conduct their political activities at a designated venue where appropriate security will be provided for them. However, the organisers ignored this important security advice and proceeded with the road procession. 3. At about 1215hrs, a violent incident occurred along Nnebisi Road, Asaba, during which one person lost his life and five others sustained injuries. The identities of the victims are yet to be ascertained. Upon receiving a distress call, police operatives mobilised to the scene and took the injured victims to the hospital for medical attention. Security was subsequently reinforced in the affected area to forestall further breakdown of law and order, while investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify those responsible. 4. The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Samuel E. Erale, psc, mnips, condemns the violence and reiterates that political parties are free to conduct lawful campaigns and other political activities. He, however, advises all political parties and their supporters to avoid road processions in the interest of public safety and to liaise with the Police ahead of any political gatherings to facilitate adequate security arrangements. The CP assures residents of Delta State of the Command's commitment to a thorough and impartial investigation and urge anyone with useful information to contact the Command through the following phone numbers; 09155570008 or 09155570007. If there’s progress in the state, people will move there as next destination. It’s not rocket science. Like the indigenes yall claim don’t live there will move back because of how fast pace progress is made there. It’s not magic. Development is not magic fgs

Exactly oooo. This is the perfect summation of Ekiti state currently. The greed is so much and runs so deep.
Dear Mayor @Ekitipikin happy weekend sir . My name is Mirabel, a proud Ekiti girl though I also have Edo blood in my veins. A graduate of Eksu & also a small business owner who resides in Ado Ekiti . I saw the ranking and your post, though I won’t join those who are not even from here (and don’t live here) to throw insults or disrespect and That is uncalled for. You are an indigene whose voice carries real weight, and I would rather see you keep calling out what needs to be fixed, regardless of political differences. That said, the lived reality many of us know in Ekiti is very different from the numbers on paper.,The economy is no longer thriving the way it once did. This is further aided by Constant abuse of power by uniformed men, open repression of youths by those in government, and an atmosphere where people are afraid to openly support candidates they believe in (for fear of being maimed or worse) have silenced a lot of voices. The Opposition parties to the ruling government in power can barely hold meaningful rallies or show public support without fear, The Youths have largely lost their voice. There have even been cases where semi-literate women were pressured through certain “women-supporting-women” groups into releasing NIN and voter’s card details; when some of us raised the alarm, we were simply removed or shut down. Greed has sunk so deep that oppression is preferred to basic civility. On infrastructure and investment: beyond the major roads inside town that have been fixed largely for aesthetics, many adjoining and linking roads remain in bad shape. The federal roads leading in and out of Ado-Ekiti are still in a deplorable state. The textile/trade fair complex has steadily deteriorated over the last five years. Nightclubs, business schools, filling stations and other small businesses that used to have life are struggling. Things are unusually expensive, and the suffering is real. Even at the terminals, the charges for waybills often cross into outright extortion. Around the school areas and surrounding villages, ₦150k can no longer get you a decent one-room self-contain; shared-facility rooms start from ₦200k upward. Many young people , I’d say a large majority have simply relocated their businesses and families elsewhere because they are exhausted. I say all this not to attack you, but because the truth on the ground matters more than rankings. You still have the platform and the influence. Keep using it to speak up for better governance,And when the time is right, I hope you can also extend some of that generosity and energy toward genuine small businesses still trying to survive in Ekiti. Ule labo simi oko o, I wish you continuous positivity and progress in all your endeavors. Alale Ekiti a Gbe in o 🙏

Schooled there, went to every family gathering and parties there and sir, people know exactly what they saying about the state. We are all indigenes of Ekiti, I from ifaki in particular but man, the people there need to seriously look inwards man
Some of you are even indigenes of Ekiti but have barely set foot in the state since birth, yet you are always eager to jump at every opportunity to run it down. You cannot genuinely wish for the progress of a place you constantly seek to ridicule. It is perfectly fine to criticise, demand accountability and point out areas that need improvement. But let us be guided by facts, fairness and a genuine desire to see Ekiti move forward. We can disagree with those in government without being unfair to the state and its people.

Gaslighting at its purest form and fineness. Nigerian adults are pure gold miners of gaslighting

西方民主只不过是在一群演员中选出演技最好的演员。西方民主制度的两大漏洞:1.只在选演员的过程中民主,而不是在具体决策中民主,2.智者和傻逼的投票权平等,而且傻逼在人数上有绝对优势
