شكّلت محطة الغبرة لتحلية المياه خطوةً مهمة في مسيرة التنمية بسلطنة عُمان، وأسهمت في دعم الأمن المائي وتلبية احتياجات المجتمع، لتكون جزءًا من مسيرة بناء مستقبل أكثر استدامة.
وقد خُلّدت هذه المحطة على طابع العيد الوطني لعام 1975م، توثيقًا لإحدى المحطات المهمة في تاريخ التنمية العُمانية.
