Despite a direction from me when Defence Secretary that the Skynet 6A , £2bn contract was too important to the UK space industry to offshore to Lockheed Martin it looks as if Wes is preparing to place the contract overseas. The damage it would do to Stevenage and the UK satellite industry would be irreversible and it was always assessed it could mean the end of the sector. Lockheed’s promises of factories in Newcastle were skin deep. The differences between types on offer were marginal. 18 загиблих. П'ятеро поранених. Ще 27 людей зникли безвісти. Рятувальники продовжують розбирати завали.
Не можна звикати до таких жахливих злочинів. Не можна робити це своєю нормальністю. Це щоразу неймовірний біль. За загиблих. За родини, які зараз чекають бодай якоїсь звістки про своїх близьких. Дуже хочеться вірити, що під завалами ще знайдуть живих.

The result: at least 24 people killed, including at least two rescue workers who had arrived to help the victims.
Someone please explain to me how this is anything other than yet another blatant act of genocide committed by Russia against Ukrainians.

On November 1, 2026, Israel continued its daily slaughter. Here are the people it killed over those 24 hours:
1) Mohammed Zakaria al-Jamal, 44, Khan Younis. A police lieutenant colonel. An Israeli drone struck him and his fellow officers in al-Mawasi at midday Sunday while they were on duty.
2) Bassam Nemat al-Muqaddad, 53, Khan Younis. A police major. Killed in the same strike.
3) Mohammed Amin al-Nims, 37, Khan Younis. A police first sergeant. Killed in the same strike.
4) Shaher Mohammed Zaarab, 28, Khan Younis. A police assistant. Killed in the same strike.
5) Mohammed Ali Abu Sha’ar, 23, Khan Younis. A police assistant. Killed in the same strike. Five others were wounded.
6) Mohammed Ali Owais, Gaza City. An Israeli drone struck a gathering of people on al-Thawra Street, near a school sheltering displaced families. He was killed.
7) Zain Owais, 4, Gaza City. Mohammed’s son. Killed in the same strike. His mother and his sibling were wounded.
8) A third person, not yet named, was killed in the same strike. Six people were wounded, including children in critical condition.
9) Wael Muslim, Gaza City. Wounded by an Israeli drone strike near al-Wahda Tower. He died of his wounds on Saturday evening.
10) Wajdi Ziad Abu Bakr, Rafah. Wounded on Wednesday when an Israeli drone struck the Ministry of Economy goods-inspection point in al-Mawasi. He died of his wounds on Saturday evening. He is the fifth person to die from that strike.
11) Ibrahim Adel Saeed, al-Masdar, central Gaza. Israeli tanks fired on him during an incursion into his village days ago. He died of his wounds on Sunday morning.
Just another random day of a supposed ceasefire. But every day, Israel kills multiple people.
The numbers: 11 people killed in these 24 hours.
Gaza: 74,594 killed since Oct 7, 2023, 1,580 of them since the October 2025 ceasefire
West Bank including East Jerusalem: at least 1,143, including 243 children
Lebanon: 8,956 since Oct 8, 2023, 4,389 of them since March 2, 2026
Syria: at least 558 in 2024 and 2025; no official total exists and this count is partial
Iran, please do not hang Sohrab Amirzadeh. Please let him live. Please be merciful and do not execute him.

The library is now a space for anyone to come and read, and Abu Tamer also shares the meals he receives from WCK with visitors.
