Despite all of its challenges, Ethiopia managed to complete a national project - the Renaissance Dam, which will have a significant impact on its economic future. What is our "national project"? The "Lagos Coastal Road"? We don't take leadership seriously; some of believe that "Divine favour" will fully insulate us from the consequences of bad leadership. Even the Bible doesn't support that view - read Proverbs. Get ready to vote, and vote wisely.

Sales across all Tantalizer’s outlets (company-owned and franchised) for 9 months is ₦2.92bn. Do you think that the revenue is sufficient for a legacy company with franchise? For context, we conducted a ballpark analysis of Amoke Oge’s business when she went viral following Chowdeck’s recognition. Our estimate was approximately ₦1 billion in annual revenue.

They are so quick to talk about taxes but very cagey about accountability. They try to sidestep questions when citizens ask about opacity in public procurement and lavish spending by public officeholders. You want to tax like the first world but spend like some banana republic.
“Whenever we refuse to pay our taxes in an organised manner, we pay for it in economic chaos. It shows up by way of inflation when the government prints money to spend. It shows up by way of high interest rates.” — Taiwo Oyedele, Minister of Finance, at the Nigeria Economic Summit on Monday in Abuja. #CTVTweets

Dayo Isreal acts like a possessed and petulant child, he's an embarrassment to the office he holds, and i am very sure the FG has no hands in whatever show of shame he's currently engaged in. This isn't what the APC or President Tinubu stands for.

Some of our "Technocrats" talk as if the whole point of "running the Nigerian Economy" - is "to attract foreign investors". If you strip away their technocratic jargon, these people are total bereft of ideas of their own. Given a choice between them and a young Nkrumah, I would choose Nkrumah three times daily; because Nkrumah had some ideas of his own - which these people totally lack.

At the heart of Africa is the Congo, a country the size of western Europe. It borders nine other nations, and since 1996, it has been racked by a brutal war in which millions have died. In Dancing in the Glory of Monsters, renowned political activist and researcher Jason Stearns has written a compelling and deeply reported narrative of how Congo became a failed state that collapsed into a war of retaliatory massacres. Stearns brilliantly describes the key perpetrators, many of whom he met personally, and highlights the nature of the political system that brought these people to power, as well as the moral decisions with which the war confronted them. Now updated with a new introduction, Dancing in the Glory of Monsters tells the full story of Africa's great war. Price: NGN 22,000
