Been thinking about @MLB scheduling whenever expansion happens. Almost certainly means 4 divisions of 4 teams.
This is how I hope MLB breaks down the schedule:
54 Games (18 Each) v 3 Divisional
60 Games (5 Each) v 12 League
48 Games (3 Each) v 16 Interleague
Home/Away:
27 Divisional
30 League
24 Interleague
Yes this means League Opponents starters 1-5 go against starters 1-5. Yes it also means seeing teams every other year at home. Rivalries become rivalries again. You see them every year and play most of your games against them.
This is the most exciting format.
Then I go into the rabbit hole of regular schedule blocks
First 3 weeks all Division games (18/54)
3 Weeks all League games (15/60)
3 Weeks all Interleague (16/48)
3 Weeks of League games (30/60)
3 Weeks all Division Games (36/54)
82 Games before AS Break
3 Weeks of Interleague games (32/48)
3 Weeks of League Games (45/60)
3 Weeks of Interleague games (48/48)
3 Weeks of League Games (60/60)
3 Weeks of final division Games (54/54)
The division races will be epic. The wild card games will be determined by your divisional competency. H2H divisional brings back game 163 for tiebreaker. H2H league places supreme importance on the early year League series. You play every team, every year.
You can also wait to release the schedule until spring training because do the windows - designing more exciting matchups. I hope this happens.
Brewers about to sweep the Rays and the Yankees are non-competitive vs the Rays.
But hey Hal is gonna get his salary cap and give you $30 chicken buckets. Praise him. #RepBx
The World Series starts tonight!
Here’s a question - which will be more during this series?
Sac Bunts or Balls of the Roof?
#WorldSeries
Holy fkn fk
Tesla's @aelluswamy says FSD Unsupervised could start rolling out to customer cars in select areas the U.S. in Q2 2027. Those customers could then add their cars to the robotaxi network.
So Hal & Cashman are upset by the lack of consistent hitting …. Well maybe batting average matters, just a little.
MLB Average Batting Average in 2026:
.244
Yankees Starters Career Batting Average:
Judge: .291 (missed 100 games)
Garcia Jr: .268
Bellinger: .261
Rice: .248
Chisholm Jr: .245 (batted .231 in 2026
— MLB 2026 BA: .244 —
McMahon: .237
Grisham: .217
Caballero: .229
Volpe: .225
Wells: .213
Too early to tell on Jones (.245) and Lombard Jr (.237) but it’s crystal clear as to why they don’t hit consistently a they don’t have the players that do so.
SpaceX said the Louisiana space port will have 20 or more launch pads. Everything that can ship down the Mississippi is going to be flying to space 🚀
I wonder if CA is going to let SpaceX develop anything like that on our western coast. It’s needed.
Ryan Day terrible clock management.
Then a roughing penalty that is so soft Serta has a mattress sale celebrating the call.
There have been no baseball games on a Friday in the month of October.
World Series Game 1 starts next Friday.
How do you do this @MLB? Lmao.
They made Skubal, Yamamoto, Snell & Glasnow tired and ineffective when it mattered most.
Just those 4 guys made ~$128M this year.
MKE entire payroll is $144M
8/8 so far this postseason.
Replying to @JoeyVotto

Then
Guardians > White Sox 3-1

Then

It’s crazy this proposal from MLB.
Fans don’t realize how bad it is for them.
Most people I see are saying who cares it’s only 8 games.
It’s a 5% REDUCTION.
That’s a 5% cost reduction for owners. The revenue they lose? They just instantly increase all prices for fans exactly that much.
As a fan, they want to promise you more exciting national prime time matchups (more tv revenue for them), when they release their schedule over a year in advance. Which means more game flexes which means more uncertain game start times for fans.
As a fan they want to offer you expanded playoff games. Why? More revenue, higher gate prices, higher tv deals, and games 4-7, the players don’t see a dime.
Then start to think about the records, the current 161 has been played for 65 years! Thats more than HALF of the record book since the AL was introduced in 1901.
I don’t care about the pick your opponent - just reseed.
MLB really needs to consider expanding rosters, having an active and inactive roster each day, adding a weekly double header day, and weekly off days. You can do ALL of this.
But it’s a lot of work, so they want to do less for more. Just an atrocious statement, all packaged with a salary cap.
Never. Gonna. Happen.
I pray the @MLBPA stands strong on this. Don’t cut games. As long as it takes.
