bard's lament was such a lifechanging event for me i can't imagine not having this information ingrained in my head 😭
WHAT *IS* SCANLAN'S MOM'S NAME? 🤔 💜

#criticalrolespoilers ksharavi as a character is such a perfect example of how complacency and nihilism are the best friends of fascism. if you believe that, by default, the most powerful and tyrannical will always win, it becomes so easy to aid them
#criticalrolespoilers decades of treating yanessa's oppression and evil as if theyre foregone conclusions has made him a snivelling servant of those whims. tyranny's belief in love and the inherent good of humanity flies right in the face of that and i love it so much

is wicander sexy? no. does wicander fuck? also no. but your honor he has heart and he had tenacity and most importantly he has the sad sad eyes of a man just begging to be used and made to please you and to that I say hey, maybe he IS hot in his own pathetic useless way.
my wife...... he doesn't stand a chance </3

#criticalrolespoilers (I think this still counts as spoilers so I’m tagging it just in case)
“You’re blatantly just not me nan” but it’s Wic to Yanessa
#criticalrolespoilers in my head tyranny's words alone were the unravelling of wick's soul. it's true if i make it true
#criticalrolespoilers and another thing ☝️ that little vignette right before he is unmade and becomes part fiend is so poetic it hurts. i'm glad she made that decision
#criticalrolespoilers okay finally done with the halloween episodes and very predictably i can confirm that all the losers on here were bullying whitney for absolutely no reason lol. her character was distressed and making decisions that made sense in the moment
#criticalrolespoilers and tbh her hand was forced multiple times over. this is not to say anything was necessarily "railroaded" but the decision to frame tyranny as wick's "everything" was actually beautiful and poetic and to have it mean absolutely squat kind of sucked lol
crazy that there are people out there walking around who genuinely believe things like this. purely vibe-based politics. you almost have to respect the level of delusion

this is one of the primary reasons why scanlan and keyleth are my forever favourites - some of the most memorable/beautiful/ridiculous moments in c1 came about because of their experimentation and bold decisions. were some boldly bad? yes! and i loved it

It's very important to me, and there's something serendipitous about the fact that in the first campaign, there were really only 2 casters, and those 2 had to figure things out and struggle through casting spells in that campaign and try new things and fail
#criticalrolespoilers
sam & marisha did a great job of making their characters' approaches to casting reflective of their personalities/core values. their casting style and confidence grew along with them. it was kinda emotional seeing the culmination of that in the london show

And really paved the way for the rest of the crew to feel comfortable experimenting with spellcasting in future campaigns, and in this one-shot, Scanlan and Keyleth once again are the 2 who took two creative swings and that's what worked. That's so special. #criticalrolespoilers
