Did Neha Bora call for Bangladesh-like situation in India? No. The viral claim misses important context.
The AISA leader's message was to a Left-wing student outfit for its annual conference. It was presented as endorsement of the 2024 violence. @onkeyta_ altnews.in/no-neha-bora-did-…

Stampede in Durga Pandal in Kolkata. Many will say stampede happened in Deshapriya Park in 2015. Remind them, at that time 11 people were injured. Still there was outrage and anger. Like Narendra Modi had said during a tragedy in Kolkata - It’s Gods message to change Government

100 Harvard University alumni issue a statement condemning "police brutality, unlawful detention, and violations of constitutional rights of all peaceful protestors" in Delhi on October 10.
They particularly express solidarity with Sr Adv Shadan Farasat (2009 Harvard Law School alumni) who was manhandled by the Delhi police, and CJP Policy Head Mehr Pasricha (Harvard Kennedy School, 2025) who was detained.
"We call upon the government and all law enforcement authorities to immediately cease and desist from all violations of constitutional rights, respect rights to peaceful protest and access to legal assistance, and ensure that those responsible for abuses are held accountable in accordance with the rule of law," they demand.
The Hindu Raksha Dal took it upon itself to 'teach a lesson' to CJP protesters in Delhi on Oct 10. Leader Pinky Chaudhary & his son openly issued threats in the presence of cops;outfit member Ravindra Govinda assaulted women on the streets.

This now looks strategic. A segment of the right wing has been deployed to amplify support for the police crackdown on journalists and creators. The way they went after @dilnawazpasha, one of the finest in the industry, is hard to miss.
