My cousin once wanted a ₦500k wig. She told her boyfriend, and he said he couldn’t spend that much on a wig because he had a project he was working on. Lol 😂 She didn’t argue, beg or try to convince him. She simply found a way to get the wig herself and posted pictures wearing it on her status.
Her caption was something along the lines of, “If he wanted to, he would.”
The man got so offended that he blocked her everywhere. Imagine being so bruised by the fact that another man could afford to give your girlfriend something you had already said you couldn’t afford.
And that’s the part I find pathetic. You are allowed to have financial priorities but you don’t get to dictate what another person can do for your woman. Your inability or unwillingness to buy something shouldn’t become a reason to resent her for receiving it elsewhere.
