Most crypto projects try to sell you the NFT first and build the brand after. Pudgy Penguins did the complete opposite, and that's why it works. Think about how most people discover the penguin, they don't start by opening OpenSea, they see a penguin GIF in a GC, their kids are picking up a toy in Walmart, or stumble across a clip from Pudgy World. By the time someone actually buys into the ecosystem, whether that's the NFT or $PENGU, they already know the characters, have engaged with the content, and already feel something towards the brand. It goes deeper. Merch that turns digital identity into physical identity. People wearing the penguin in real life, repping it in public, and then you've got $PENGU sitting at the centre of it all. Not just as a token you hold and hope that goes up, but as something that actually moves through the ecosystem. When you put all of those pieces together, you stop looking at Pudgy Penguins as a crypto project and start seeing it for what it actually is. An entertainment ecosystem that happens to be built on crypto. The strongest brands in this space won't look like crypto companies in a few years; they'll look like what Pudgy is building right now.
