With all the toilet talk lately, non of which ever includes accessible toilets, I saw this door sign and loved it.
Inclusion can be simple, but it must be accessible - which it rarely ever is. How ironic 🙃.
(Happy to share this was an accessible bathroom.)

From runways to galleries, stadiums to television screens, British Vogue’s May 2023 covers celebrate a new vanguard of Disabled talent. First up, @TheSineadBurke. In an important essay, she underscores why nothing is more fashionable than inclusivity. trib.al/urfE8ow

ALT Image shows Sinéad Burke, a white, queer little person, on the cover of British Vogue. Sinéad’s brown bob has been curled into soft waves that are blowing gently in the wind. With both of her hands resting on her hips, she stands against a white backdrop, wearing a white shirt dress with a black belt by Alexander McQueen, and her own black, pointy pumps by Ferragamo. Above her head, a white Vogue logo in big letters. The cover also reads ‘Reframing Fashion: Dynamic, Daring & Disabled.’

The stand out features of the new @tfwrail Stadler flirts are they are low floored with retractable gap fillers at each pair of doors enabling @LevelBoarding which is safer for everyone and transformative for disabled people.
The new Class 231s look very much like Class 755s to me.

Some people hear “screen readers” when we say “accessible”. Accessible is for cognition, motion, hearing and vision. It also means the intersection of these.

One of the great paradoxes of ADHD is that we resist any sort of structure, yet we depend on it to survive.
Without systems and routines in place, our lives can fall into complete disarray.
We need to develop systems that become second nature.
