these comments are so disappointing. it’s sad how quickly ppl stop rooting for women the moment they gain weight.
this is what blows my mind about ppl who only sabotage female artists’ careers for things they did in their past, while a lot of men who’ve done similar things or worse are still topping the charts.

Housewife gave me “obscure pop song from late-00s that was ahead of its time,” and I love that about Tate’s music. that’s why IOIO made me a fan.
Ryan Tedder reveals Tate McRae’s hit “Housewife” marks the end of her early-2000s-inspired sound ahead of a sonic shift on her forthcoming album:
“I’m a big believer in if once you start a trend, you also should be the one that ends it. And so, with ‘Housewife’, we said, ‘OK, if we’re going to do anything that smacks remotely of early 2000s, this has to be kind of it. Then we move it.’” #TM4
"Stateside + Kylie Minogue" could've easily replaced the original song. Kylie fit into the vibe of the song so naturally that Pink didn't have to remix it as much.

y’all are comparing Nikki Freeman to superheros, an assassin, a boy with technology, and the fucking Joker? this app is not a real place.

I noticed *older* Gen Z has been treating Xtina better than other old gens (except her fans, obviously), and it’s so refreshing to see. they absolutely adore loud and bold women like her, and they don’t seem to care about exploited drama from the 2000s like millennials do.
sometimes we have to accept that a song is just not good, and that’s why it bubbled under. plenty of female artists have been able to overcome major scandals with a smash hit. this just wasn’t it.

And this right here is exactly why pop stars are going extinct. Y’all root for these girls when they’re coming up, but the second they break into the mainstream and start seeing real success, y’all switch up and start finding any little reason to tear them down.

Xtina is a secure artist who knows the true meaning of longevity. she understands inspiration is a cycle and that someday a new generation will build on her legacy the way she built on the women before her. thats why Back to Basics is a stellar record 🖤

Inde Nararrette tells W Mag that “Burlesque” had a huge impact on her when she was 8 years old 🖤
“One of the biggest movies ever that I know all the words to is ‘Burlesque’ with Christina Aguilera and Cher. It’s the BEST movie—one of the best cinematic experiences ever!”
