It is with shattered hearts that we share the devastating loss of our beloved colleague, resident artist, and dear friend, Lucas Dulio Imbrogno McKeown @LucasTheFlow . Lucas was the heartbeat of so much of what we do here at Otherworld. He was the ultimate hype man to anyone he met—someone whose presence could instantly lift your spirits. He welcomed you at the box office, monitored the space during the shows, built our stages from the ground up, and tore them down long after the music stopped. His care for this community was just as immense as his talent as a DJ and producer. His endless encouragement inspired dozens of people to start producing music and DJing themselves. Our music scene and the arts are stronger because of Lucas, and we will never forget his selflessness and compassion. His family recently shared a beautiful tribute, and we want to honor their words: "We his family are grieved to share that Lucas Dulio Imbrogno McKeown took his own life last week. Those who knew and loved him--and there were many--knew his big spirit, smiling face and creative talents as a dear friend, collaborator, mentor, and electronic dance music DJ/composer Lucas TheFlow, whose music has been heard on more than 30 small labels around the world. He also experienced dark times and mental health challenges which he bravely fought against, but which led to his passing.
