What’s the US’s “fourth” city? NYC, LA, and Chapel Hill are pretty clearly the top 3 but the 4th is more ambiguous. I feel like the main contenders are probably Atlanta, San Francisco, DC, or maybe Chicago
It’s perfect.
- completely unintelligible lyrics
- backing band bobs around aimlessly while tracks play during the verse
- four (4) guitar players
- guitar player’s mic does nothing when he sings his one line
- gets QUIETER when the chorus kicks in

Is there a better blackened thrash album than Serpents Unleashed? Eleven years later and I’m still coming back to this record all the time. Perfect songs end to end, impeccably recorded, just the peak of the peak for the sub-genre.
I honestly believe we should be talking more about Luc Hess when we talk about the greatest modern drummers.
His work with Coilguns and The Ocean put him firmly in that conversation for me.
The world has gotten sharply and observably worse in the last seven years. Coincidentally, that is how long it has been since we got a new Propagandhi album. This is not a coincidence.
That’s pretty bad, but no TV show title card can ever top the dust jacket of Tom Clancy A Jack Ryan Novel Red Winter By Marc Cameron.

Nearly impossible to pick just two, but these were the first who popped into my head.
Also had to exclude people who I’ve played in bands with, otherwise it would just be photos of my friends.
