Correct. Every conference will finish .500 against each other. The only outside metric that matters is records against other conferences. The SEC’s record against P4 teams is 10-2.

Every coach was against this for a reason. The SEC champ is going to end up with at least two losses and the league is only going to get 2-3 teams in the playoff where they got 5 last year. Going to 9 was the biggest unforced error ever by a conference commissioner
