I grew up in Ikorodu and lived there till 2021, I had a lot of yahoo boys as neighbours and childhood friends.
A lot of them said they wanted to learn Tech or design from me, I recommended courses and kept checking up after some time, expecting a soft transition but instead they either didn’t learn anything and wanted handouts or learnt it and used it to further their crime.
One tried using my phone number for Facebook scams, one hacked my Facebook and consequently took down my studio’s business page on Instagram as well, took down all our posts. I got back the IG account but till date I have not been able to retrieve my Facebook account.
I am not saying they don’t deserve a chance, some probably do but if they don’t get punished before being rehabilitated, they will go back or try to one up you.
Their default mindset is that everyone is stupid and they are smarter.
Do with this information what you will.

Stay Persistent: Rejections are part of the process. Keep refining your pitch and seeking out potential investors.
If you’re a good business leader maybe half of your product and strategy ideas will work. If you’re a good investor most years will be just OK, and plenty will be bad.
