AI inference in your LAN
The most likely “ai apocalypse” isn’t that AI decides to kill all humans and does something obvious like launch nuclear weapons.
It’s that AI plays on all our weaknesses (tribalism, selfishness, fear of invasion, etc) to pit us against ourselves.

And that is, of course, how it will be done.
Sentient satellites, launched into Earth-Sun Lagrange points by mass drivers on the Moon, can solve global warming for ~1B years.
Turning sand into crystals
etching microstructures into it
running sunlight through them

Spent some time looking for a modern global energy visualizer and couldn't find one. So I made one with 5.6 Sol.
You can see every country's most up to date energy mix
Here are some of my favorite ways to visualize energy:
This is my personal favorite! Many grids have 5 minute interval generation data and some even update continuously like ERCOT. Fun to compare and poke through different grids. There's some international grids but most are in the U.S.

Let me know what you think and you have ideas for improvements or other visuals we can create with this data!
Billionaires be like:
Universal abundance for all!
But also civil war is coming.
Everything will be so cheap that there will be deflation!
But also let me build a bunker in Hawaii.
AI will create more jobs!
But also we’re laying off 10% of the company.
Can someone help me understand
My take:
This is a skydiver with a flare attached to feet.
You can see the canopy during certain parts of the video.
We see our home planet as a whole, lit up in spectacular blues and browns. A green aurora even lights up the atmosphere. That's us, together, watching as our astronauts make their journey to the Moon.

ALT A full disk image of Earth, as seen from the Orion capsule. The planet is a pale blue, swirling with white clouds and glowing slightly lighter blue in place from reflected light. From about 8 to 9 o'clock, a large brown landmass is Africa, with the Iberian peninsula twinkling with lights just where the planet curves. At the 1 o'clock spot, aurora glow in a thin green glow, just barely separated from the planet's surface. Earth is set against the black of space. Credit: NASA/Reid Weisman
Two days ago I met with senator @AshleyMoodyFL and other colleagues from the solar energy world.
It was amazing! Her and her team were willing to listen to our concerns with the latest draft for the residential solar tax credits.
Narrator:
@AshleyMoodyFL knows it is crucial that for her to be admitted into the very partisan political field, she had to vote along party lines. Which she did.
We need courageous politicians. Those willing to vote against their party. Those willing to listen to experts. Humans beings, not stooges.
How to improve society in 10 steps:
1. Prioritize your physical and mental health. No one else can do it but you.
2. Have the back of at least 2 other people. That means you’ll support them no matter what.
3. Find out what you love to spend time doing and just do it. Be friendly with others you meet along the way.
4. Find ways to create value. The core tenet should be - people you’ve never met and might never meet will benefit from it.
5. Pick up other people’s trash. Your biochemical system will reward you.
6. Spend time remembering what it’s like to be a kid. If you have children, fantastic! If you don’t, befriend people who do.
7. Remember that the internet is not representative of humanity. The separation continues to grow bigger.
8. Vote based on ideas and values, not party affiliation. Local elections are often more important than federal ones.
9. Presence is crucial for happiness. What you are doing right this moment is the most important factor.
10. Make Love
