Probably Hip Hop’s most exciting act in recent years, and by far my favourite. 🐊
I took a closer look at @officialdoechii’s Alligator Bites Never Heal, exploring this work as a continuation of rap tradition - and its simultaneous defiance of rules.

Kathy Bates says she was sure she never thanked her mother in her Misery Oscar speech, then the interviewer showed her the tape
"She gave up her retirement because I was born so late in life to them."
"When I won the Oscar for Misery, she said, I don't know what all the excitement about, you didn't discover the cure for cancer."
"Why did I think I didn't thank her?"
"Because she should have had my life."
"I wanted her spirit to come into me and enjoy everything I was enjoying because of what she'd given up."
Her mom's whole review of the Oscar was that she didn't cure cancer, and Kathy still believed she had shorted her that night. Then she watches herself thank her mom at home, right there in the speech. Some people never stop trying to pay their parents back. You can hear it in how quiet she gets at the end.

Matthew this can’t be your take. Excruciating
Matthew McConaughey says his most controversial opinion is that including tips in the bill leads to worse service because servers know their tip is guaranteed:
“If the tip is included, doesn’t the service suffer? I believe if the tip is included, like extra credit is included like, when did they start giving out 4.2 GPAs? I thought 4.0 was as high as you could get. If you give too much extra credit, doesn’t that mean you’re not giving enough credit to what the original baseline was?
“If you got a 22% tip included in your service, I mean, aren’t you gonna be like, ‘I’ll take my time and do whatever I want. My tip is included, man’?”

I saw someone say she's appropriating white culture by being punk and it's very important to me that everyone knows the song played in this trailer is LITERALLY about a black woman being called a poseur by fellow punks because of her skin color 50 YEARS AGO
What even goes on at variety? This is ridiculous honestly
