This is just wishful thinking. You think we would be Cal football fans if losing games bothered us?

an important reminder that if they are ever faced with the prospect of having slightly less money and power, oligarchs will always side with authoritarianism

The right-wing Anakin posting does make a lot of sense as it combines many of the Right’s core preoccupations: getting groomed; killing your wife; working for an insane, octogenarian tyrant; being hated by your children; losing and dying

We got your back, New York!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026).

Hackers breaking into European supermarket fridges (Sweden, Belgium) and raising temperatures to spoill food.
Fascinating Reddit comment from someone works with supermarket control systems:
▫️fridges vulnerable due to old firmware (should update)
▫️systems are on public-facing IP addresses (should be behind VPN)
▫️the temperature is being “raised” by the fridge’s defrosting system (for maintenance, the fridge de-ices evaporator coils at least once a day…and hackers look to be running defrosting cycles non-stop which can “turn the case into a sauna”)
European supermarket fridges are under cyberattack once again, with stores across a vast swathe of the continent from Sweden to Belgium hit by a hack that turned up their temperatures, echoing an incident in France just last month reut.rs/47PPmV0
Hackers turn up the heat in Europe's frozen food aisles, again - Tech

Scott, you flew to Minnesota to announce $41 million in alleged Medicaid fraud. Good. Investigate and prosecute it.
Then KARE 11 asked why DHS paid $495.6 million for a prison CoreCivic offered Minnesota for $75 million in 2025. That's a $420.6 million price gap, roughly ten times the alleged fraud you came to condemn.
CoreCivic says independent appraisers used replacement costs. Fine. Release their work, the negotiations, and every approval. Especially since CoreCivic donated $500,000 to Trump's inauguration.
Instead, you called the question “a waste of time.”
So $41 million gets a press conference. $420 million gets a shrug. That's quite a selective war on waste.
that's right libs, I've been duped by an elderly pervert and and am mere hours away from the having my cock and balls incinerated in a volcano

UCLA fans need to recognize that this story isn’t about them or their apathy. This is about God taunting Cal fans by giving what we wanted to a team we don’t like that doesn’t appreciate it

if you’re confused why she keeps saying my name like it’s an mk ultra activation code whenever she’s asked abt why she unendorsed abdul & endorsed rogers- in aipac affiliated circles i am seen as the number 1 boogeyman, a narrative framework that many outlets have also uncritically accepted. very different reality when you’re now openly endorsing maga - a far more vitriolic and actually powerful force in us politics.

A group that calls itself "Empowering Black Americans” has been texting Michigan voters that Abdul El-Sayed has been "disrespectful and dishonest with Black voters"
Its one disclosed donor is a White businessman from Pittsburgh who gives to Republicans washingtonpost.com/politics/…
Not good that these encampment closures are a campaign stunt from Councilmember Wang. But camping at Lake Merritt is dangerous for everyone, and multiple buildings here have been seriously burned by encampment fires.

From a longtime Stevens ally:
“The consensus among her friends, colleagues and staff is that there needs to be an intervention to save Haley from her fiancé because, if you ignore the politics and focus on the personal dynamics, you are watching in real time what happens when a kind and smart - but deeply insecure - woman falls under the influence of a toxic and controlling - and deeply insecure - man.”

I don’t know what Ross Douthat thought he was trying to do but Abdul El-Sayed was ready for it.
