@Gemeente_Lwd Niet de festivals, maar de @parkrunNL zet #Leeuwarden op de kaart, met deelnemers uit verschillende landen.
Gratis, voor niks, georganiseerd door vrijwilligers.

I ran at Kagerzoom last Saturday. My first parkrun outside England. Loved it. Great course. Welcoming community. Superb windmill. What more could anyone ask for?! – at Kensington, London

Why do I love volunteering at @parkrunNL so much? The people you meet along the way make it so rewarding. Today I met a 75year old lady, still running and exercising. She told me her father was pacemaker for Sir Roger Bannister when he broke the 4 minute mile record. Amazing!

When you persuade you AirBnB hosts to come along to #parkrun for the first time because they realise they can #parkwalk #loveparkrun @parkrunNL

Fantastic initiative starting this October 👇🏾👇🏾 at @parkrun - encouraging people to come along and simply walk and engage with a wonderful, supportive community

There is just two days left until #parkwalk, our celebration of walking at parkrun this October 😍

parkrun brings people together, and in these times we need to cherish the things that unite us and be grateful for the things that we share.
Reached my 25 volunteer milestone today and Karpendonkse Plas celebrated its 2 year anniversary.

I got to do a #parkrun! 3 months since my last one I had to fly to the other side of the world but I did it. I’m incredibly grateful to Rich, formerly of @albertparkrunau but now in Amsterdam, who drove me the 2 hours each way from Amsterdam to Groningen. @parkrunNL – at Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Besides all interesting geoscience, I also love running and last year I started the parkun in my hometown Utrecht. I really like the setup and the way you meet your locals. This weekend is our 10th edition, proud to organize. parkrun.co.nl/maxima/news/20… @parkrunNL #loveparkrun

This morning, I got to participate as a runner at our Karpendonkse Plas @parkrunNL for the very first time, after having volunteered once before the pandemic hit (and we'd just launched!). Hoping for many more volunteering and running Saturdays to come 🏃♀️🌳🙌 – at Eindhoven, Nederland
