The Trump/GOP lawsuits have been a gold mine for remarkably bad statistical inference
This one rejects the null hypothesis that the % of people who voted for Biden is the same as the % that voted for Clinton, which means it must be fraud

@VinArceneaux and I have been conducting a daily survey of Americans for a few weeks about their political attitudes. Today we wanted to share the figure below, which shows the proportion of Americans by party that identifies Biden as the winner.

The 94.5% efficacy of the $MRNA vaccine is getting the headlines, but its stability at -20˚C (normal freezer) long term and up to 30 days at 4˚C (normal fridge) are game changers.

Curfew in Barcelona last night. The juxtaposition of the man on the piano playing “Eternal Flame” by The Bangles and the scene unfolding behind them is quite something.
Slående skillnader mellan höst och vår i Stockholm. Svårtolkat eftersom testbenägenheten skiljer sig mellan områden, och påverkar siffrorna mer nu än i våras, men nog måste väl ändå immunitet spela en stor roll?

Middle school teachers in Italy were given a test about their own implicit bias against immigrants. Those teachers that were randomly selected to be informed about their own test result and learned that they had such bias, subsequently graded immigrant students higher.
If teachers have negative stereotypes against immigrants, their assessment of immigrant students’ academic performance may be biased. Read about how informing teachers in Italy about their implicit stereotypes affected grading: j-p.al/es6

New unpublished results from KI and @KarolinskaUnsju shows that many with mild or asymptomatic #COVID19 show #tcell immunity to the new #coronavirus, even if they don’t have antibodies. This means #Immunity is probably higher than antibody tests suggest. bit.ly/2ZklrR5

~40% asymptomatic and ~13% symptomatic cases revert to IgG negative in early convalescence. This does not imply they can be reinfected (still no established case of reinfection to date), but it raises serious questions on the value of serological surveys.

An RCT with 3.9 million participants showing a huge, statistically significant effect of health insurance on mortality. For a 45-64 year old, 6 months of health insurance reduces mortality by about 1 percentage point (Table 8). This is a huge effect. nber.org/papers/w26533
