👁️ FOCUS -> EARN $TAO ☯️ We’re launching Ω Focus — a significant step toward maximizing the agency of individuals by empowering you to work on whatever you love, without the constraints of a permissioned economy. Think of it as a bridge between attention and TAO, making it easier than ever for anyone to become a Bittensor miner! For the end user, the idea is simple: use AI to help you focus on your most important priority while seamlessly earning TAO in the background. We accomplish this by: - Using AI to determine how important your tasks are relative to your goals and measuring how productive you were during the process. - Offering a seamless, user-friendly interface to help you dive right into focused work. - Letting users submit their screen recordings to SN24 and get rewarded. The screen recordings of focused work generate rich CoT reasoning data for the AI to learn from, probably creating the highest SNR data submission mechanism available in the world. This will lead to a more diverse and on-demand data collection. Join our beta testing Discord server to get the app right now! discord.gg/APkdxxjK There's currently around $722 dollars per day up for grabs (with a max cap of $100/hour/person). Come make some money 💰 For more information, check out our FAQ: focus.omega.inc

This is a fascinating hypothesis on sleep. If you sleep for 8 hours and still wake up exhausted, the reason may be "micro-arousals." These are brief sympathetic spikes that can change your HR, HRV, breathing, and move your body toward fight-or-flight. You may never actually notice this as they last for seconds. But if they keep happening throughout night, your sleep may look fine on your wearables, but your nervous system was being pulled out of a stable recovery state. There's this sleep company called DUSQ that's building a device around this idea. Basically, it tracks all HR, HRV, breathing, movement, sympathetic activity to detect these "micro-arousals." Then they use closed-loop neuromodulation behind ear to calm this response in real time. This still needs a clinical validation, but the underlying idea is truly fascinating.

We’re introducing intrinsic discovery, a new learning method that allows models to explore and learn from open-ended environments without human supervision. Using intrinsic discovery, we trained a world model that surpasses GPT-5.6 Sol at simulating terminal environments.

your daily reminder that ppl are almost biologically drawn to: - belonging - certainty - status within a tribe - a charismatic interpreter of reality - rituals & shared language - an enemy or out group - a story that makes suffering meaningful - the feeling that we know something they don’t religions, political movements, startups, fandoms, fitness communities, crypto, even certain friend groups can all activate pieces of this same machinery. & some companies are doing it brilliantly well right now.

Today, SBU and @BrookhavenLab demonstrated a wireless quantum link, transmitting quantum information through open air across 13 miles. This first U.S. demonstration of its kind marks a milestone for quantum networking beyond fiber-optic cables. See more: gosbu.co/46eiZyl

The weird thing about energy is that it’s a currency that grows by being spent. The tired person who was stagnant all weekend wakes up more tired and the person who trained and exerted their energy wakes up with more in the account than they started with. Output is the only deposit the body recognizes.
Basically all your problems can be solved by having more energy

biggest startup learning so far: ignore literally everything and everyone that is not immediately ultra critical to what the biggest problem is right now everything that feels like it's "probably super useful in 3 weeks" is completely useless, NEVER do it

Stop thinking of skill as a thing you need to acquire. Start thinking of it as a weird patience. Everyone has a weird patience to do something. When you look at someone with a different patience than yours, you see someone with a tolerance for something that would bother you. For that specific thing, you would get bored when they don’t. You would get angry when they don’t. You would see it as a waste of time when they don’t. It’s weird to you. But you can’t help respect them for it. And their weird patience makes them really good at something; something certain groups will want on their team. It’s weird, but extremely useful in certain situations. The same applies to you. There is something you do that others see as a weird patience. You can sit with something for a long time that they would never sit with. There is something, no matter how seemingly useless, that you can focus on for way more time than 99% of other people. That’s your skill. That’s your destiny, whether you like it or not. You didn’t ask for it. You didn’t “make it happen.” You don’t even know why you’re patient in that way. You just are. And it isn’t so much you recognizing it as it is others recognizing it. What do others keep telling you, about what you do, that they couldn’t imagine doing themselves? What’s your weird patience? This is the kind of self awareness that actually cashes in. Not career hacking, not manufactured passion, not networking, not marketing, not branding, not status chasing, not credentialing. Just recognizing what your weird patience is. This is what will define you. This is what will make you stand out. This is what will make people remember you, recognize you, pay for you. All the things you keep trying to accomplish directly, and fail to do so, only materialize as a byproduct of recognizing and strongly supporting your weird patience. What is your weird patience? Put all your effort there.
