It’s really hard to get me down. I’m definitely a “look on the bright side of life” or “it’ll all work out” type of person.
But this Budget has genuinely left me feeling depressed. 😔
It’s not in the interests of ordinary British people. It’s not a pathway to turning this country around. It’s just more of the same. More taxes, more pressure on working people, more money being taken out of our pockets, and absolutely no real sense of hope for the future.
Where’s the light at the end of the tunnel for people who are already struggling?
I love this country, and I genuinely believe we can turn things around.. That’s why we need to rally together behind Reform and get Labour out and get as away as we can from the establishment.

I haven’t spent much time dissecting that Budget, but I’ll tell you exactly what it was. An amuse-bouche, a carefully measured political appetiser, deliberately bland enough not to upset the electorate. Bookmark this. Burnham will call a general election in the first quarter of 2027. That Budget was merely the taster. His election manifesto will be the main course.

Tickets booked for London next week to see Reform UK unveil its Shadow Armed Forces Spokesperson. As a veteran with over two decades of military service, I have a keen interest in who it will be. Thank you for your further e-mail on this matter.
We would like to emphasise that there is definitely no ban on the wearing of poppies in Wetherspoon pubs.
We have now reviewed the video of what was said at the door of the pub, shortly before it closed on police advice.
We appreciate that some customers were told that they could not wear a poppy, which was a clear mistake.
There is great pressure on our pub staff in these sorts of situations, and it is easy to say or do the wrong thing in an unfamiliar set of circumstances.
We apologise to any veterans or their families who have been affected by the incident, and they are, of course, welcome at our pubs at all times.
