I said it to my mum one day when we were discussing politic, i told her that MK will be the leading factor in transition. Not that he will become a president, but act like a lubricant to loosen NRM nuts making it easy for the third party to easily untie it. Here we are now!
My estranged brother @mkainerugaba I have not #FLED +256! Am out on official @UG_Parliament work, and will return on schedule when my engagements are complete. There's absolutely no reason for me to flee my country and government. @ObothOboth @Thomas_Tayebwa @hkashillingi
And i solidly believe her due to illegality of the search itself. That man is already a civilian where by any search in his house LC1 must be present, and a police regardless of the nature of the operation. Why was that legal process ignored?
Guns were planted in Elwelu’s home – wife
Patricia Apolot, the wife of retired Lt Gen Peter Elwelu, has denied claims by security authorities that guns and ammunition were recovered from their home in Soroti during a security operation, alleging instead that soldiers planted the weapons.
“It was about 7:30 pm when a fleet of cars arrived at our home. When they came in, they were polite at first, but as the conversation went on, they didn’t get what they wanted. Because they asked to speak to Afande, I told them it had been over two weeks since he went for prayers and had not yet returned, and I had not heard from him, because normally, when he goes for prayers, he wants to be isolated. They said I was joking,” Apolot narrated.
She said the operatives questioned why her husband had remained silent, arguing that he was a government official and should therefore not be keeping quiet.
“I was like, since when has silence become a problem in this country? Someone being silent, does it mean he is doing something bad?” she said.
Apolot said the security personnel subsequently accused her of being coached by her husband and questioned some young men at the home about their relationship with him. She added that other soldiers searched the compound, looking for evidence that could implicate Elwelu.

A professional title should represent integrity, not provide a sophisticated cover for exploitation. Whether in hospitals, schools, courts or government offices, no one should use their position to extort, intimidate or deny citizens their rights. #ExposeTheCorrupt
Every government vehicle used for private errands and every official resource abused takes something away from a taxpayer. Corruption isn't only about money changing hands; sometimes it's about public resources quietly becoming personal property.

And she will deliver them based on my knowledge of her personally as a very honest hard working woman of our time. Very good hearted person and so nationalistic and patriotic lady.
🇺🇬 Mulago National Referral Hospital does not send its own ambulances to collect patients, Executive Director Dr Rosemary Byanyima told Parliament's Public Accounts Committee on 2 November 2026, after the Committee questioned why the national referral hospital has only Type A ambulances.
"It's true we have two very old ambulances, but our ambulances are for movement of patients within our facility. We work on a very big campus, as you know. We do not go out to pick patients. The Ministry of Health ambulance system is the one which delivers patients to us."
She said the hospital has been given budget for two Class B ambulances this financial year.
When Elwelu was a King donkey he handed the people of Rwanziruru to his master. Now he loose popularity, he is the meal.
For over 40yrs HE the presiding officer of Uganda uses this, and continuously, it's still at play. To mention but few; K.K, AAA, Maogani, now Petter Elwero and the list is still growing. CHECK IT OUT!
Failure to served the nation but rather an individual interest is a pathway to this kind of ending. I HOPE OTHERS ARE WATCHING
🚨MILITARY RAID AND PANIC IN KALAKI DISTRICT IN SEARCH FOR RT. GEN. ELWELU.
There was reported military operation at the country home of retired Lt. Gen. Peter Elwelu in Anyara Sub-county, Kalaki District. This sudden operation triggered heavy security presence, local panic, and led some residents to temporarily flee their homes due to fears of escalating tensions.
The operation stems from a sharp escalation between Gen. Elwelu and the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
According to relatives and media updates, Gen. Elwelu went into hiding out of severe fears for his personal safety. Security forces have since arrested more than 20 former soldiers associated with him, along with his personal driver, and impounded his vehicle.
Residents and community leaders express confusion and anxiety, describing Elwelu as a major benefactor who heavily supported local water projects, healthcare, and church activities following his retirement.
To others they're seeing him sweeping but me am seeing a disabled man demonstrating. There are many ways he can be help but he isn't help. What about getting for him a modern wheel chair? Has it failed? Imagine him cleaning while getting dirty himself.... is it normal?
Jimmy Bette, a person with a disability (PWD) in Lira City, took to the streets to participate in the National Cleaning Exercise. Lira City is hosting this month’s official national cleaning day.

Gen. Elwelu’s alleged refusal to surrender is concerning, buh we must also examine how the case is being handled. Publicly displayin’ alleged evidence, announcing arrests and issuing ultimatums before court proceedings raises questns abt the presumption of innocence and fairness.
The issue is nt simply whether Gen. Elwelu sh’d surrender, but whether he can expect a fair and impartial process. The rule of law demands accountability, but it equally demands due process, fairness and justice 4 everyone, regardless of rank or political affiliation.
Elwelu's alleged hiding and failure to surrender should concern every Ugandan, regardless of political affiliation. Beyond his personal legal troubles, this situation risks creating unnecessary tension, fuelling speculation and potentially turning a legal matter into a regional or political confrontation, particularly given his popularity in Teso.
The longer he remains outside the reach of lawful authorities, the greater the risk of public mistrust, mobilisation and competing narratives. His supporters may interpret the situation differently from security agencies, creating room for avoidable tension.

#RNBLive39_2026: “There will be no president for Ugandans not chosen by Ugandans.
Ugandans have the duty to defend this country, to defend constitutionalism. And Article 3 gives us that duty.
We need a president who respects the rule of law, who upholds the law.”
We need a president who feels for the people: when fuel prices are high, when youths are being forced into modern-day slavery, when parents are hardly affording school fees and medical bills.”

Why court upheld Nameere’s vote recount election victory
“Having considered the law governing court-supervised vote recounts together with the learned chief magistrate’s findings as recorded in the certified proceedings, I find that the decision to proceed with the recount after it became apparent that the security and integrity of several ballot boxes and other essential electoral materials had been compromised amounted to non-compliance with the electoral law and was inconsistent with the safeguards,” Justice Namanya said.

She is very brilliant
Her: Daddy, in Literature there was a question about relevance of the novels we read. On the point of corruption, almost all the class says they gave the example of Anita Among.
Me: And you?
Her: Me I gave examples from other countries. What if the one marking is her relative? Even on the point of oppression and brutality many students said they used the example of Muhoozi and Basement. For me I went to colonial oppression.
Me: Eh, are you such a coward?
Her: Haha, no. I read the room.
