A day later, our first-ever agent-assisted @atlas company was officially incorporated via MCP. (Fortuitously, it's a startup related to robotics.)

That means a lot coming from you @eladgil - you set a very high bar for any new @stripepress author with High Growth Handbook!

Delighted to share a landmark preprint from our lab, using genome language models and AI agents for biological discovery and genome mining!
The stretches of DNA between protein-coding genes are often called the genome’s “dark matter,” but they are far from empty. They encode RNA molecules that sense metabolites, regulate genes, and control some of molecular biology's most important tools (such as programmable genome editors e.g. CRISPR/bridge)
Much of this biology is unexplored. One reason is that RNAs can retain similar structures and functions even as their DNA sequences change dramatically, making their relationships difficult to recognize with conventional computational tools

And now you can preorder the NOMAD LETTERS (out December 1!): press.stripe.com/nomad-lette…
For years these letters have circulated (at first, unofficially) among investors, acquiring a devoted readership. We wanted to give them a permanent home in print.
Nick and his partner Qais Zakaria’s record is extraordinary. The letters are the account of how they got there, featuring everything from studying Amazon and Costco (Nomad’s defining investments)—to visiting cement plants in Zimbabwe, and beyond.
They’re candid about their mistakes and curious about the forces that shape investors’ behavior: incentives, psychology, and the wisdom (or foolishness!) of the crowd.
Since closing the fund, they’ve devoted their time to philanthropy, a journey Nick recounts in the lovely foreword he wrote for this edition.
I’m thrilled to continue adding to the investing corner of our catalogue, and I can’t think of a better work to follow Poor Charlie’s Almanack. ❣️

Some big personal news: I'm moving to join Works in Progress as executive editor, starting next month. I have been hoping for an opportunity to work with @bswud and @s8mb for more than a decade, and I'm incredibly excited to finally have one.
WIP is expanding on every front right now. We'll soon begin coverage of business and finance, as well as putting out more reported features. To that end, we'll be hiring more writers and reporters in the year to come. I'm planning to remain based in the US to help build out our presence here.
The print edition of WIP has existed for less than 12 months, but sometime in the next week or so we will reach our 10,000th paying print subscriber. It's a group that now includes people who've been at the highest echelons of government and who run the world's biggest public companies. We’re already on track to 3x that number next year. We'll be in store at Barnes & Noble, Hudson News and independent newsagents next week too.
I think WIP is providing something that people are craving from physical media right now: fewer, extremely well-crafted pieces in a beautifully designed form. Issues now feature an amazing group of columnists, including Tyler Cowen, Dan Wang and Stephen Kotkin. Each edition is better than the last.
You'll see us in more and more places next year too. In January, our new weekly documentary films will launch on YouTube. We're expanding into the events space, with a new series in North America. The sky is the limit from here on out.

potentially a hot take but @stablecoin is still underrated, such a good product and a world class team that just keeps shipping

The future of banking will run on stablecoins.
On Plasma, in partnership with @StripeCrypto.
We're bringing together Stripe's fiat and crypto infrastructure to make it easier for businesses to build stablecoin-backed cards that work across currencies and markets.

If you’re using stablecoins for real-world use cases, it’ll soon be unthinkable that they aren’t private.
Too much of crypto relies on pseudonymity instead of privacy, especially in the age of AI as it becomes easier to track and correlate transactions onchain.
Tempo has been working on Tempo Zones as a scalable, technically nuanced, and highly practical solution to onchain privacy.
And the first Tempo Zone is now live with Deel, adding privacy to their global contractor payouts.
We all want real-world flows to scale onchain, and privacy is a clear prerequisite to that. The Tempo team has worked hard to craft a practical solution and if you’re interested in learning more, please reach out to the team!
Privacy is live on Tempo.
Tempo Zones let enterprises keep customer stablecoin balances and payments private, with built-in compliance controls and access to global liquidity.
@deel is the first customer with Zones live in production.

Open USD (OUSD) is live on Tempo, with $400M+ in liquidity at launch.
Issued natively on Tempo, OUSD by @openstandard gives businesses a new stablecoin for payments, settlement, and treasury, with liquidity deployed across decentralized exchanges, stablecoin swaps, and bridges.

Software is increasingly treated as disposable in the AI era. Yet we spend half our waking lives looking at screens! We don’t want to spend that time with zombie products—monotonous, vacant, and uncared for. We want products with soul. 💜

Opening access for developers to build Muse connectors. You bring the API -- Muse brings the agent, the browser, and the context of what the person actually wants. People reach your service just by asking for it, and their agent takes it from there.
New connectors are live today. Come build with us. muse.ai/platform

does your favorite agentic tool not (yet) work with @link for purchases?
no stress! you can use Link in _any_ agent by simply prompting something like:
> "read link.com/skill.md and get me set up with Link"

“We don’t want to let the quality bar slip just because we’re shipping more and faster. It just became a question of designing a system to enable that at this newer scale.”
Excited to share our latest case study with the @Stripe design team!
They gave us a behind-the-scenes look at tools they’ve built across product, brand, and content that allow them to do Stripe-level work at an incredible velocity.
AI also clearly lets more people there participate in shipping great product, lets designers go way broader in their explorations, and even lets designers/engineers do work that simply wasn’t possible before AI (wait 'till you see how their brand team uses AI)
Thanks @lil_dill and team for showing us what embracing AI effectively can look like!

Works in Progress may be the most interesting magazine publishing today. This article on the evolution of horses nicely illustrates the power of selection (natural and artificial) of heritable traits to shape a species, but also the massive role of developmental chance: Secretariat, history's fastest horse, had a massive heart, in his case a non-genetic trait which was not passed on to his descendants. worksinprogress.co/issue/the…
Treasury Agents are here
Over 5,000+ users a month are already using agents to analyze your spend, understand your balances and financial data.
Next, they can act on it.
We’re opening up capabilities that let agents move money, convert currencies, and more with your approval.
