Querying Authors! I need some advice. I read a comp for my fantasy novel and by coincidence the author uses the same term for casting spells that I do. The mechanics and effects of the magic are different, though, if that makes any difference. Do I have to change it?
This was awesome too… that makes two crime novels in a row set in Oklahoma. This one is a must read for sure. Lou Berney really captures Oklahoma City in this one.
I’m reading The Book of Three aloud to my 10yo, and he usually listens quietly and won’t tell me if he likes the story or not. He’s a contrarian that way. But last night when I finished our usual one chapter and prepared for the final tuck in… he asked me to read another. 🙌
